SpaRitual Water Collection for Spring 2012 Swatches & Review

New for spring 2012 is SpaRitual’s Water collection.
This collection is a little special because SpaRitual is supporting an organization called Surge, which is a non-profit company that improves access to clean, safe water for communities around the world. 20% of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to Surge.
“The Water Collection represents the importance it has for our physical wellbeing (up to 70% of the human body is composed of water) and our emotional health (it’s a proven fact that water provides soothing benefits). Sadly, communities around the world lack access to clean drinking water,” says SpaRitual founder, Shel Pink. “We’re pleased to be involved with Surge, and to support the foundation’s efforts to help provide clean, safe drinking water worldwide.”
Aside from the fact that this is a really great cause, the collection has some amazing colors!

Lucid
Lucid is a pale cool lilac creme. It’s got a blue-ish undertone to it, almost a cornflower blue but not quite. For a pastel color, it wasn’t overly chalky or streaky which is nice. It did take three coats to get it completely even though.

Ebb & Flow
Ebb & Flow is a bright aqua blue creme. This baby is bright, but not neon, and so gorgeous. It’s my favorite one from the collection. These kind of blue polishes always grab me! This was just two coats.

Ripple Effect
Ripple Effect is a dusted lavender/mauve creme. Pretty color, has a lot of pink to it. This was three coats because it was on the sheer side.

Hidden Reef
Hidden Reef is a coral shade with pink and gold shimmer. Wowzers. I love this one a lot! Super duper flattering on my skin tone and just really a pretty spring shade. This was two coats.

Deep
Deep is a deep greyed out purple with understated pink and purple shimmer. The base is murky and the shimmer kind of is also. It’s not very prominent and settles into the background of the polish. I wish I could see the shimmer more because I would have liked it more I think. This was two coats.

Undercurrent
Undercurrent is a dark navy blue creme. Pretty and very shiny. This was two coats.
Overall:
I think the stand-out shades for me were Ebb & Flow and Hidden Reef, though they are all nice shades. Ripple Effect, Undercurrent and Lucid might have a lot of dupes or similar colors already out there.
Availability: February 1st at SpaRitual and select salons and spas.
Pricing: $10.00 each.
What do you think about the Water collection? Any colors that jump out at you?

Pretty collection! I love Sparitual!

I’m curious how Deep compares to Chanel’s Paradoxal and its near-dupes and kissing cousins. I’ve been on the fence about them all this time, and hoping for a ‘prettier’ version.
I like this collection. My favorites are the same as yours: Ebb & Flow and Hidden Reef. Gorgeous!

Usually colours like Hidden Reef don’t get my attention, but I think that is gorgeous! It looks so flattering on you, and if I see these in person, I may have to pick it up and try it.
Thanks for your gorgeous swatches of this collection, Kelly!

These are already available at an online beauty boutique I just made a purchase from. I got Deep and Hidden Reef (my first SpaRitual polishes ever btw) and judging from your swatches I’m happy I made those two purchases. I think I might get Ebb and Flow later.

Which boutique was this? Not many of them stock SpaRitual, and if they do, they often don’t ship internationally, so I’m all ears
I LOVE Ebb and Flow; I have been looking for that color for almost 4 years; I find similar colors but that’s EXACTLY what I have been lemming for!!!! It was the color in my Wedding! And the other color I will HAVE to get is Hidden Reef! A coral color with shimmer, YES PLEASE!!!!! I truly, so like this whole collection but those are the two I need! Thank you for the swatches!!
Oooo Hidden Reef is definitely calling my name (I’ve been bitten by the coral bug haha)! I really like how SpaRitual takes CSR seriously too!

I agree with your picks! I dont generally buy polish online I totally have to have Ebb and Flow and Hidden Reef, and what the heck part of the profits going to do some good is an added bonus! Thanks for bringing this to our attention!!!
I MUST have Ripple Effect and Hidden Reef! Gorgeous! Thanks for the great swatches!

Beautiful collection. I love all of them.
Hidden Reef is the only one I feel like I don’t have something similar to already. Unfortunately, if it is anything like Essie’s Your Hut or Mine? or OPI’s Are We There Yet? I’ll have to pass because they both looked horrible with my skin tone.

I was wondering thesame thing, it is somewhere between I mainly eat lobster or your hut or mine.

I love all of these, but I feel like I have similar for all of them. Orly’s Cashmere Cardigan for Lucid; OCC’s Pool Boy for Ebb & Flow; OCC Pansy for Ripple Effect; Orly’s Coquette Cutie (creme, but similar color) for Hidden Reef; BB Couture Impact Driver for Deep; and Cult Nails Time Traveler for Undercurrent. I still like the collection, though, lol.
I started reading this post thinking I would probably end up passing on this set. But your swatches have swayed me yet again! Ebb and Flow is right up my alley; it’s hard to pass on a great sky blue! The stunner for this set is definitely Hidden Reef. It’s so ridiculously gorgeous and I think I even like it better that Howl or Sacred Ground from the Wilde Collection (blasphemous?)! Can’t wait to get my hands on these!

I loooove Deep! I think it’s because it strongly reminds me of Jessica Venus Was Her Name, which is one of my most favorite polishes.
I also love your favorite two picks. I don’t own any SpaRitual yet, but I might try these out. I am a total water baby so I’m very into the theme and the charity

I love this brand! They sell them at my hair salon, and I have strength from their BCA 2011 collection, and Howl from another collection. They’re always great. Gonna check out Deep when I go to get my hair cut at the end of the month. It’s so pretty!

oh Thank u VampyVarnish, I’ve been waiting to see swatches before purchasing any of the spring colors from sparitual. Ebb & Flow is in the running. BTW do you know any salons in the bay area that sells them, I hate to order online and pay for shipping?
Hi Rozae,
No, sorry!
Just go to the Sparitual site, there’s a locator in the upper right hand corner. (Warning, they have music on the page, but at least you can turn it off.)

The last three are my favorites. I don’t own any of this brand. I’m afraid to buy one because I know I’ll want so many more.
WoW!! This collection looks very appealing! I especially love Hidden Reef and Deep – I don’t have anything like it! – but I wouldn’t mind getting Undercurrent too. I just need to find out if and where Spa Ritual products are sold here in Italy, otherwise I’ll have to get them online.
Definitely like Deep. It seems unique, or at least not similar to anything in my small polish collection.

Hidden Reef and Ebb & Flow are definitely my favorites out of these.
I sure wish Ulta carried this brand.

I am going to be on the hunt for Hidden Reef!!! That is a fab shade! It fits my coloring well and I can see turning it into a goes with everything shade for spring & summer both! I got my first bottles of SpaRitual with the fall 2011 collection and really liked what i got!
Whoa! I think I NEED Ebb & Flow. So pretty! That will probably be my first SpaRitual polish. Really like this whole collection.
Some colors are magical and I love that it’s also for a good cause
Oh I love the shimmer in Hidden Reef, I want this one!
