Revlon has a new line of nail enamel out called Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel and get this, they’re in different shaped bottles. Hooray!
There are a whole bunch of these, not sure how many. I am guessing between 20-30 new colors and I nabbed four that looked promising at my local Walgreens when they were buy one get one half off. They retail for $8.49 and are actually smaller bottles than the regular ones (0.4 oz compared to 0.5 oz) so getting them on sale is a good thing.
Supposedly if you use the corresponding base and top coats with this polish you get a gel-like finish and lasting power. I didn’t get the base and top coats though so cannot confirm that,
Calla Lily, Bonsai, Spanish Moss, Rain Forest
Calla Lily is a very pale nearly sheer milky white base with gold shimmer. I knew this one was going to be incredibly sheer, don’t know WHY I got it, but it looked so darn pretty. It does make a nice layering polish though. This was two coats.
Spanish Moss is a really nice murky khaki green with just a slight hint of shimmer. It reminds me a lot of Sonia Kashuk Fatigued actually. It might be slightly warmer and the shimmer has no blue like that one. Very pretty color and just two coats.
Calla Lily over Spanish Moss
Bonsai is a bright green with heavy yellow shimmer. It’s bright, it’s fun, it screams spring to me. I love it. Love the green base and the shimmer together. It was really great coverage also, nearly just one coat but I used two. It’s not a dupe for China Glaze Cha Cha Cha though.
Rain Forest is a deep murky green with lighter green shimmer. It’s really dark but has a nice glow about it. Great coverage again with just two coats.
Pricing: $7.99-8.49 for 0.4 oz.
What do you think about these colors? Have you tried this new line yet?
