NARS Diamond Life Nail Polish for Spring 2012 Swatches & Review
NARS has a new nail polish color out for spring and it’s called Diamond Life.
Diamond Life is a shimmery metallic silvery purple shade. It’s thick and has really great coverage but is it perfect? Methinks no.

Diamond Life is a violet metallic and has a sort of frosted silver finish. Not sure I love that about it. While the polish has really amazing coverage, basically one coat (but I used two), it does have some streaking issues. You can see on my middle finger I couldn’t get that line to go away. So you have to work slowly and patiently to get it even.
I’m not sure it’s the most unique color either, though it is pretty.

This is one of my favorite kinds of purple! Altho I have an issue with NARS polish chipping easily on me.

I can’t remember right now where I heard about it, so props to you if you’re the mystery blogger, but if you brush on one coat like you normally do and then sponge a layer over that it may help with the brushstroke thing.
I couldn’t tell you what other polishes are similar. It does look like a polish I’ve seen before. Nice metallic purple but I won’t be ordering it. Too much money for something I think is dupeable. Really enjoying the new layout.

I really like the color. I don’t have any medium purples in my hoard, so I would consider getting it. Though it wouldn’t be at the top of my list, there are other colors that I would buy first.

It really is pretty, but $17 is a bit much for this shade. I think I had a similar color when I was in HS.

At the moment my favorite has to be Zoya Jem. I have Zoya Yasmeen, Neeka, Anja, and China Glaze Let’s Groove on their way. My collection of purple polishes is getting out of control lol

Very pretty! I have 2 that are kind of similar to this color. The first is China Glaze’s Avalanche. The second is Sephora by OPI’s Stop Stocking Me. They are fairly different from this polish, but still frosty metallic purples nevertheless! And quite a bit cheaper too!
I love this color but I dont think $17 is too much for a lacquer.

It looks so much prettier in the bottle! It would be amazing if it somehow showed swirls of silver and purple on the nail rather than frosty purple.
Not all that unique of a color, but I loooove purples and this is a very pretty one indeed.

It looks really nice on you, but I think I couldn´t apply it nicely enough to avoid brush strokes!
I don´t have anything similar, in fact, I don´t have any frosted finished polish. I´m sure I´m missing some good colors, but I can´t help it!

I’ve never purchased a NARS polish before, and I don’t think I’ll be making this my first one. The color is really, really pretty but I do agree that $17 is too much for a polish that doesn’t blow me away.

I have such mixed results with Nars polishes. I love the color but the streaking would keep me from using it again so it’s a no buy.

The NARS seems to have a bit more red and the SH a bit more blue.

I did one coat and the color is amazing – it’s not as dark as this! I’m glad I bought it.
It definitely looks interesting but not enough to own it
