Cult Nails Super Powers Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

Cult Nails Super Powers Collection Cult Nails Super Powers Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

Let me start this by saying I profusely apologize for showing you a polish in this collection that you will all want, if you don’t already have it, but won’t be able to get until next year…

Cult Nails Super Powers Collection is a new 4-piece set from the fabulous Maria! The woman knows her nail polish I tell ya.

This collection includes three new colors as well as a relatively new one that was previously released under the limited edition name Unicorn Puke. It’s now been changed into Clairvoyant.

And won’t be available until February now.

Don’t kill me please.

This collection was inspired by Maria’s love of super heroes and her wish to grow up and be Wonder Woman. Which she actually kind of is… HELLO! Nail blogger turned nail polish brand creator!

Question of the Week

QOTW 12 2 11 Question of the Week

Happy, happy Friday all!

Who is excited that the weekend is upon us? I think this weekend I am going to be decorating my house for the holidays, minus the tree until next weekend.

What is your favorite way to keep warm in the winter? Heavy coat, mittens & gloves, snugly blanket, heater, crackling fire or kitty on your lap? icon smile Question of the Week

I am really partial to a snugly blanket AND kitty on my lap! I love fires, but we removed our fireplace a few years ago to accommodate a large TV, so I don’t have one anymore. Well technically we do, we just pushed it into the wall and sheet-rocked over it so if we ever sell the next people can just open up the wall. Continue reading »

LCN CrocoFever Nail Polish Special Effect Swatches & Review

LCN Croco Top LCN CrocoFever Nail Polish Special Effect Swatches & Review

Hot on the heels of “crackle” polish comes something a little similar but WAY cooler! Croco Top!

LCN’s CrocoFever Croco Top nail polishes are a new special effect top coat that create a crackled effect, but in a reptilian skin pattern. They are definitely different than regular crackle in the way they break up and create the shape. I for one really love these because I am totally into the idea of wearing different textures on my nails. Nail art can be tricky and require artistic skill (which I am lacking) but special effect top coats like this are super easy to use.

You can buy CrocoFever in a starter set, which includes all four of the Croco Top colors as well as a base coat and top coat, or you can get the colors separately. The bottles are small, same size as their magnetic ones (8 ml).

The directions are fairly straighforward, but be sure to follow them completely to get the best effect.

Instructions:

  • Apply a base coat.
  • Apply one or two coats of your regular nail color .
  • Wait 4 minutes. No less no more! Nail polish needs to be slightly tacky for it to work. It won’t work if it’s too wet or dry.
  • Apply the Croco Top in quick, even strokes over your nail color. If you do thinner coats you will get a smaller reptilian effect, if you do thicker it will be larger.
  • The effect will take a minute or two to start working then will be complete in 5 minutes.
  • Apply a top coat.
