Holiday 2011 Gift Ideas – My Favorites This Year

As crazy as it seems, Christmas is less than THREE WEEKS away now! Are you prepared?
I kind of wish everyone on my list was a makeup fiend or at least wore makeup or nail polish because gift giving would be so much easier. Unfortunately for me, hardly any of my friends and definitely no one in my family wears makeup!
But perhaps you are looking for that perfect thing to give to your friend or sister or niece. Here are some of my favorite holiday collections that I’ve reviewed over the last couple months. You can click on the photo to read the original review.

Tarte SmolderEYES
This is a great little set for the person who is looking for waterproof, easy-to-apply liners that can double as shadows. These are super pigmented and come in six sumptuous shades. For more information or to receive 30% off your next order and free shipping if it’s over $40 (until Dec 12th), click here.

Smashbox Click You’re It
You will get serious bang for your buck with this amazing palette which has 15 pigmented powder eye shadows as well as five AMAZING saturated creme shadows. For more information or to purchase click here.

Benefit Ticket to Glossytown
Perfect for that someone in your life who likes lots of options but in a small tube. You get six shades of their fabulous gloss, all imprinted with a super cute cityscape! For more information or to purchase click here.

Orly Soiree
Soiree is a really nice set of colors ranging from ultra light white to deep glittery black, and a gorgeous shimmery plum in-between. You can get it in either full size here or mini size here!

Lush Snowcake Soap
Snowcake is now one of my favorite soaps of all time. If you love the scent of their Smitten creme, then you are guaranteed to love this soap as well! For more information or to purchase click here.

Jack Black Balm Squad Lip Quad
Granted, I have not yet reviewed this particular Jack Black set, BUT I did recently get it and love it. Jack Black is hands down the best lip balm ever for me and the Shea Butter one in this set is THE BEST! For more information or to order click here.

Benefit I’m Glam
This is a great set for those looking for cooler tones and lots of shimmer. It contains 4 super soft eye shadows as well as a face powder, Girl Meets Pearl, Life on the A List gloss and mini BadGAL mascara. For more information or to purchase click here.

China Glaze Let It Snow
This is a 12-piece collection filled with a range of colors and finishes. If you love silver, gold, red and green you will probably find something you love! You can find China Glaze at Sally’s Beauty Supply or online etailers.

Smashbox Snap You’re Fab
This collection is a great one because it features two full sized lip glosses as well as four minis. Most of these are on the more sheer side, so perfect for someone looking for just a hint of color. For more information or to purchase click here.

Zoya Gems & Jewels
Gems & Jewels is a collection not lacking in major bling! You get three shimmery colors and three corresponding glitter colors. Mix and match to your hearts content with these babies! For more information or to purchase click here.

Fortune Cookie Soap
Ahhhh Fortune Cookie Soap has so many amazing options you are guaranteed to find something you love. This is perfect for someone who LOVES scents and fun packaged goodies! For more information or to sign up for their newsletter and receive a 10% discount, click here.

Wet n Wild Baked Palettes
Wet n Wild put out four sets of these baked palettes recently and though they may be hard to find, they are worth hunting down if you can! Exclusive to Walgreens.

Benefit Crescent Row
Crescent Row is a little collection of four mini bottles of Benefit’s eau de toilette’s. They all smell very different, and it’s a great gift for someone who just wants to try out a variety of scents without too much commitment. For more information or to purchase click here.

Deborah Lippmann
Lippmann Collection put out four holiday colors this year, but Good Girl Gone Bad was by far my favorite. So shimmery and sparkly! For more information or to purchase click here.

Revlon Spice It Up Lipgloss
Revlon’s Spice It Up collection included lip gloss and nail polish. I am enamored with these two lip gloss colors, so shiny and luscious! For more information or to purchase click here.
And that wraps up all my favorite holiday gift ideas thus far for 2011!
Which of these might you be getting for yourself or someone else this year?
-Kelly

Nobody I know really wears makeup either, or buys any for me, so I think I’ll be buying myself something from Revlon’s Spice It Up collection when it lands here in the UK.
I’m liking the look of Benefit’s Ticket To Glossytown too. Is it possible to have too many glosses?
Great round up! I think the WnW baked shadows are Walgreens-exclusive, however.
Whoops you are right fixing now!
Love the holiday present ideas! I wish I could say I loved Snowcake as much. Have you tried Snowglobe? And you can never go wrong with Benefit gloss. That was my go to present last year!

I’d like to wake up to find all of these in my Christmas stocking! And the ones I already have, I’d re-gift them right then.

Kelly, I already gifted myself with the Cheers and Decadent Revlon lip glosses thanks to you! Now I need the Jack Black Quad!
Great picks! Don’t know anyone I could get this for so I guess I have to buy them for myself
Never heard of Fortune Cookies Soap before. I checked their website and luckily they ship internationally
Thanks for the inspiration!

Great ideas. I’d want to buy them all for ME!

The only person I could buy these for is me! Makeup & polish is not obsession for my friends. That’s why I’m glad of blogs.
I buy Lush Snowcake every year. I love it!

Great list! I’d be in heaven if everyone got me makeup & polish for Christmas!!

Swatch And Learn´s last post…December Giveaway to Reward My Loyal Readers!
Hi Swatch and Learn,
I have re-activated them but had some of them for a year or so. A lot of work setting them up!
Deborah Lippman is cruelty free, right? Gorgeous holiday shade.
Normally I would get stuff for my sister–whom I will always look up to as a beauty guru–but with her having a 2yo she laughs at the idea of nail polish (or having time to do her nails).
I’ve gotten a few of those things for myself LOVE the DL polishes!!
