Search Features on Vampy Varnish
It has come to my attention from a few comments on my poll about site design that maybe some of you didn’t know you could search on my site. So I figured I would show you some screen shots of different ways to find information you may be looking for.

There is a search area in the upper right-hand side of the site. You can also search by my Categories section, but more on that later.

All you do is enter whatever you are looking for, say China Glaze Blonde Bombshell, click “Go” and…

The page will come up with your results.

As far as the Categories section, once you click that, you can search in a myriad of ways.
I have makeup under the “Beauty” tab, then all my nail polish is under the “Brands” tab (that’s one thing I want to change with a re-design is naming these what they actually are so it’s more transparent). If you search by Color or Finish you will also find all my nail polish. Season will lead you to makeup and nail polish by season. Misc. is all other random posts and Personal will take you to all the photos of my cats, etc.

Here the “Brand” tab is clicked and you can see all the nail polish brands. If you click one of them all the posts then come up associated with that brand.

Another way to search is by my Gallery, which is also on the top navigation bar of the site next to Categories. When you click “Gallery” you will then have the option to sort by Brand or Color. This will show you only photos though, not blog posts.

When you click Blue under Color for instance, this is what you will see. You can click on the photo to enlarge it.
I hope this has helped some of you and let me know if you have any questions!

As always, too eager to see your new posts
thx for clarifying
Hi Sophie,
No problem! Others didn’t know about these features either
A really useful post – thanks!
I love your “gallery” features – could spend all day browsing them.
