MAC for Gareth Pugh Lipglass Swatches, Photos & Review

MAC and Gareth Pugh, as you know, have joined together and created a limited edition collection in really cool packaging.
Aside from the nail lacquers, the other items that stood out to me were the Lipglasses. There are two of them and they looked so amazingly iridescent and cool I picked them up with nary a hesitation.

Vacant, Outrage

Vacant

Outrage
Now I do love the packaging with these Lipglasses, I have to say. Love the square shape and design on the front. But they are not without their flaws.
As soon as I took Outrage out of the package, it dropped onto the floor and the black plastic inside the tube which attaches the wand to the rest of the gloss snapped so there was no way to close it. No worries, I returned it and bought a replacement. But be careful because they seem more fragile than the regular Lipglass tubes.
The only other thing I didn’t love about them was that the hole that the wand goes into is SO TIGHT that you barely get any product out each time you dip it in. So I felt like I had to go into the gloss 15 times to get it on my lips. Annoying.
Oh also, yeah not too keen on spending $22.00 (0.16 oz) for these just because of the packaging when the regular Lipglass is $14.50 (0.17 oz).

Vacant, Outrage
Vacant is a pale pink/lavender with an iridescent pearl look. It’s VERY sheer, but pretty. Would probably look best layered over a pink or purple lipstick.
Outrage is a deep plum purple base with lots of iridescent shimmer. The shimmer you see is mostly blue, green and gold. This one is also very sheer, but showed up more on my lips since the base is darker than Vacant.

Outrage
Overall:
I like these but I don’t love them. I liked them better in the packaging. Again. I don’t regret getting Outrage because I think it’s fairly unique to anything else I have, but Vacant is a pretty common color.
Availability: MAC.
Pricing: $22.00 each.
What do you think of Vacant and Outrage? Interesting or are you passing?

I think I will be passing on both the lipglasses and the nail lacquers…they look like stuff I’ve seen before.

I’m really disappointed from what I have seen so far. The promo pics looked awesome but the actual swatches are just meh
This Pugh collection seems disappointing
I like Outrage in the packaging, but the actual color just.. meh.

Ooo, I really like Outrage! I didn’t think I would based on the bottle color. I don’t own anything MAC, hopefully maybe a brush or two… eventually.

I love the packaging. But not enough to splurge on them.

Outrage looks really pretty and I do l love the packaging…but, i think I will pass on these, the price is a little high for MAC.
I was really tempted by these. I’m glad you’ve posted pictures of these. I may love the packaging but not enough to buy sheer glosses. I have enough of those with plenty of sparkles.
What a bummer that Outrage is so blah… it looks like an absolutely amazing must-have in the tube! Probably for the best, though, as I’ve bought a TON of lipgloss in the last couple weeks…
They both look amazing in the packaging and they do look nice on, but meh.

I’m not really impressed by either. :\ Shame.

The packaging looks exclusive and very rich but the second shade just looks weird (like something is rotten)
Outrage looked great in the tube, but not so great on the lip’s. Not bad, but not great. I liked the Revlon glosses you swatched better than these & they’re more affordable.
I’ve been curious about trying that “Outrage” – I just have a soft spot for anything with unusual-colored sparkles (like green) – I might want to try it out at the store first though.
