Looking for a cute holiday gift for someone who is interested in animal-friendly, Eco-conscious makeup brushes?

Ecotools has a limited edition set out at Target right now called Beautiful Expressions Kabuki Set. It contains four mini kabuki style brushes. All of these brushes are made with cruelty-free synthetic taklon bristles and are very soft and fluffy. The handles are made from recycled aluminum. Each handle has a different colored pattern on it, which is a nice touch.

  • Conceal – A mini softly-pointed brush you can use for concealer or on other small areas on your face (around your nose).
  • Bronze – An angled mini brush perfect for applying bronzer to your cheeks and forehead.
  • Contour – A soft dome shaped brush used for contouring blush.
  • Buff – A mini flat-headed brush perfect for buffing product into your face or wiping off excess blush or powder.

Now these babies ARE small so don’t forget that. They aren’t really even mini brushes, more like teeny tiny! But they definitely work well and feel great. The brush heads themselves aren’t super small so that makes them easier to work with, though the handles are super short!

Availability: Target.

Pricing: $14.99.

Anyone on your list who might like something like this?

I’ve seen this at Walgreens, too! They look nice and soft, and the handles are very cute.

These are cute but for me I’d need them 5 dollars cheaper or if they had long handles I could justify the 15 dollar price, without I’d pay 10 tops (like I’ve paid for most of ecotools sets).

I had this in my hands at Walgreens the other day and put them down. I should have just bought it ‘cuz I need bukis anyway. They are small, but not small like a baby buki from Bare Escentuals. I was just concerned about these brushes soaking up my products…I have a duo fiber from Eco-Tools that does that. And I have the powder brush that I find is not dense enough to really pick up enough powder. I’ll go back and give them a try…it’s only 15 bucks.
