Benefit Crescent Row Limited Edition Set for Holiday 2011 Review

Benefit Crescent Row Benefit Crescent Row Limited Edition Set for Holiday 2011 Review

Do you have a perfume lover on your holiday gift list this year? If so, they may be interested in the super cute, limited edition Benefit Crescent Row set.

This collection comes with four different mini bottles of their eau de toilette scents. It comes in a really cute box also, each bottle nestled in its own themed “room”.

The scents included are:

  • Laugh with me LeeLee – citrus, jasmine and lily blossoms
  • My Place or Yours Gina – pink pepper, wild raspberry and patchouli
  • Garden of Good & Eva – pear, jasmine and freesia
  • Ring my Bella – lily, jasmine and vanilla

The bottles are each 0.34 oz, so they are kind of the perfect size for someone who wants a variety of scents and options, but doesn’t want to spend the money on full sized bottles of each.

When it comes to describing scents, I will admit. I am definitely NO expert in any way shape or form. I have a hard time with it but here it goes, from the nose!

Laugh with me LeeLee smells like citrus with just a hint of jasmine to me. It’s a nice scent, but for me my least favorite of the four.

My Place or Yours Gina definitely has the most earthy/musky scent to it. But having said that, it’s really nice. I am not a musky scent type of gal, but I really do like this one. It’s not overbearing at all and you won’t be running around smelling of straight patchouli if you wear this one. I smell mostly the pepper, which is really quite nice.

Garden of Good & Eva smells very fruity, like pear at first then I also smell the freesia. After it settles on me a bit it smells mostly floral, which I love because florals are some of my favorites scents to wear.

Ring my Bella is a scent I reviewed before (in the full sized bottle) and I REALLY love it. I smell rose and vanilla mostly while wearing it, but also get a hint of the muskier white patchouli and white musk. It’s really nice.

One thing to note is to be careful when opening these! I expected a small spray nozzle so when I popped off the top some spilled out. They are actually open bottles under the lids, so remember to screw the lids back on tightly after using.

Overall:

For me this is a really great set. I don’t wear eau de toilette or perfume that often (I always seem to forget to put it on) and I certainly have never gone through a whole regular sized bottle of anything before it went bad. These are small enough so you get good bang for your buck.

Availability: Benefit’s website.

Pricing: $36.00.

Have you ever gone through a while regular sized bottle of perfume? What was it?

-Kelly

I wished for Eva for Christmas for the Secret Santa we are doing with my husband and all his siblings and their spouses. I really can’t wait, it’s ethereal.

  • I think you can also get this set on Sephora? Yeah NOT a fan of those caps!! I’m planning on getting some rollerball vials to put some in.

I have never used up a bottle of perfume. AND yet I buy more lol.

  • This is cute, and I agree with you about large bottles of perfume. I’m still using the one my friend bought me 2 years ago.

  • Because of the spray bottle thing I passed on these. I chose to purchase a full size Ring My Bella (It’s a rose perfume that doesn’t upset my allergies! I”m shocked!) and also grabbed So Hooked on Carmella too. But I really want to try Gina. Fortunately, these aren’t THAT expensive to splurge on now and then.

You do have me regretting I haven’t picked this setup. :)

I have the Garden of Good and Eva one and even so I was contemplating getting this set but I never would have thought to check the caps. I would expect them to have a sprayer like the full size. I love the Gina one too!

  • What, no Hooked on Carmella? :( I might be interested to try Ring my Bella (rose and vanilla sounds heavenly!) or Garde of Good and Eva so I guess 2 out of 4 should justify the purchase? Lol!

  • I’ve never tried any of their fragrances before even though I do enjoy wearing perfume daily.

Hmm…I’m not a fan of the open bottle because I can see myself also spilling the precious juice. And even though this is a superficial reason, I don’t like the packaging design. Still, I’d want to sniff these because if a scent moves me, I can always just overlook it. :)

There are only 2 perfumes that I have used whole bottles of: Fetish (when I was in 5th-6th grade) and L’eau D’Issey by Issey Miyake. I’d love to get a new bottle of that, but there are so many others I want to try!
