Jessica Rebel Glam Collection for Fall 2011 Swatches & Review

Jessica Cosmetics has a new fall nail collection out called Rebel Glam. This collection features six new colors all of them shimmers except one creme.
I am a big fan of Jessica polish because they usually have a really great formula and a lot of fabulous colors. There are some really cool ones in this collection that I think are must haves!

Show Stopper
Show Stopper is a murky olive green with a lot of brown in the base color. This is a fairly unique green and I love the depth it has. I love the murky weirdness! This was two coats.

Wild Things
Wild Things is another kinda murky color, but more of a medium chocolate brown with shimmer. I love this one also as I am very partial to brown polish, especially oddball ones. This was two coats.

Vampy Vixen
Vampy Vixen is a deep muted, almost blackened blue/green with silvery shimmer. This is a really pretty color, but I kind of wish the silvery shimmer wasn’t as strong and the base color could shine more by itself. Does that make sense? This was two coats.

Dangerously Dark
Dangerously Dark is a plum purple with silvery shimmer. This is a really nice jewel toned color. This was two coats.

Purple Edge
Purple Edge is a violet/purple color with purple shimmer. This was really sheer at first so I wasn’t positive it would even be opaque. But after three coats it was. Nice color, maybe not that unique.

Street Swagger
Street Swagger is a deep vampy wine red creme. The only creme. Seems a little odd having 5 shimmers and 1 creme but whatever! It’s a nice color, but again, not that unique. This was three coats.
Overall:
I really like the first four colors here: Show Stopper, Wild Thing, Vampy Vixen and Dangerously Dark, and think they are the most unique. Purple Edge’s formula wasn’t as opaque and thick as the others and Street Swagger is pretty, but nothing that interesting or original.
Availability: Available now on Jessica Cosmetics website.
Pricing: $7.50 each.
What do we think about Rebel Glam? Any colors here calling your name?

I don’t like the frost in them, but the colors themselves are really nice and autumn-y.

I’ve never tried Jessica nail polish…I’m thinking my first order will be: Show Stopper, Wild Things and Vampy Vixen….gorg!
Surprisingly my favorite is the creme and I don’t normally go for reds OR cremes. But this whole collection really isn’t speaking to me.

Never heard of this brand before. Nice review!
Yowza..this collection is awesome i see mmore than one that i NEED!! great post.
Totally understand what you’re saying about Vampy Vixen. The shimmer is definitely overpowering the pretty base color and personally, kind of makes the polish meh for me, even though it’s a pretty color.

Show Stopper and Wild Things are definitely calling my name. I love murky and brown polishes! So pretty. I’ve never tried this brand before but I’m loving these colors!
and I love every one of those especially show stopper. who knew a doo-doo brown with an olive green flash would be so pretty? haha!

Beautiful shades! You’re right, Street Swagger is not that unique, but it’s still a pretty color.

Something is not in these for me. I have others in fall lines I like better. But at least she put in shimmers – not the best shimmer – but it’s fun to see some that are not all creams despite I adore good creams.
I always pass on Jessica nail polishes since I never find a must have for me… Unfortunately this collection is no exception…
Love Purple Edge & Street Swagger!! Love them!! XOXO
Very cool! I’ve never tried this brand, but Show Stopper is calling me.
I’m curious if these look at all streaky in person. Sometimes it can be hard to tell with the macro setting…

Hi The Lacquered Lady,
A few had very very minor brush strokes if you look closely, but they aren’t what I would consider streaky.
These are all great fall/winter colours, but nothing is really calling my name. That’s good since I know I’ll be dropping a lot on holiday collections.

I am so leary of even lemming any of these. Half the Jessica polishes I have had have gone bad. Granted I’ve only ever purchased 9, but still . . .
Wild Things and Show Stopper definitely have my attention. So does the price!
Dangerously Dark is calling my name!

I definitely want Show Stopper. Love my greens! The rest are lovely but as you say nothing unique.
I’m not very interested in this collection, too much shimmer for my liking.
