The best thing I ever ate is fried chicken, with vegetables: tomato, carrot, peas, corn and paprica. It is so easy to make, doesn’t take a lot of time and it’s healthy and yummy!
The best thing I ever ate is really more like the two best things I ever ate. Whenever I visit Ann Arbor to see friends, we head to this Italian restaurant for dinner- we just order the stuffed mushrooms and lots of bread, but I’ve never had better! From there, we walk to the dessert bar a few blocks away to give ourselves time to digest a bit, and once we’re there we order the tiramisu and some tea. So delicious.

The BEST thing I ever ate? How about just today? It’s easier to narrow it down that way. In which case, it would be the “Coffee Break” donut from Krispy Kreme. It’s apparently new, and it’s delicious!

I think it depends on what I am in the mood for and if I am extremely hungry, ’cause then everything tastes great. I think one of the best things I ever ate was Peanut Soup that was served at a family gathering event. I still haven’t quite found another that stands up to the original I tasted and it has been more then 10 years ago.
Best thing I ever ate has to be my moms Christmas ham I am blessed that she has taught me how it’s done so I can cook it myself but to me nothing compares to my moms cooking!
Best thing I ever ate was this ridiculous chocolate cake my mom made for my dad’s birthday this year. We were all amazed. The cake was so good that you could have not iced it and been perfectly happy. Insanity!

Such great giveaways. Oh man the best thing I ever ate was just recently at a dinky little cafe, I got a mahoosive soy cappuccino with amaretto syrup in at and paired it with an almond slice which had squishy almond paste on the top and cherry jam in the middle and it was huge and now I’m dribbling. I really like almonds.

I can’t pick one thing as the *best* thing I ever ate! So I’ll give you just one of my favorites instead — gooey NY pizza with the thin crust! It’s one of the few things I miss about living in NY.

the best thing i ever ate were the tacos my friend makes….her grandma taught her how to make them and they are delicious!
Hands down, best-ever dessert is the Praline Millefeulle from Laduree. Flakey, crisp and slightly crunchy, perfectly browned, pastry dough with layers of Praline cream and whole hazelnts sprinkled with a sugar crust on top for extra crunchy goodness.
The best thing I have eaten is sushi in Japan.
Oh man… I’m a total foodie, so saying the best thing I EVER ate is near impossible. With that being said, I friggen LOVE a Chicago-style hotdog. It might just be my favorite food ever. Perfect blending of flavors and no pretentiousness about it. Just amazing!

Probably one of the best thing I ever ate, was while I was living in France. Fresh macarons from the patisserie just up the road from my apartment. Simply divine.

nothing beats my sunwarmed strawberries out of my tiny city garden, every tiny little berry always explodes with more flavor than can be found in a whole box of store bought strawberries!

The best thing I ever ate was a belgian waffle on a family trip to Baltimore. My parents, who were sticklers for attending classes, decided on the spur of the moment that we’d go to the inner harbor and some other Baltimore sights. So, we went. The next day there were three notes waiting to be brought to the attendance office to say we were sick the previous day.

The most glorious thing I’ve ever eaten was the Lobster Omelet they searve at VOLT for Sunday Brunch. It’s chunks of lobster with melted cheddar jack cheese and delicious scrambled eggs. Excuse me while I go book a reservation to satisfy my craving!!

The best thing I’ve ever eaten would have to be a brownie-bottom, peanut butter and chocolate chip cheesecake that I made for Thanksgiving one year. Basically, it’s a layer of brownie, covered with peanut butter chips and chocolate chips, then topped with cheesecake. The top of the cheesecake is drizzled with melted peanut butter chips and chocolate chips. It was SOOO good and everyone raved about it!
Steak at this incredible steakhouse in San Francisco. Amazing!

– Pan fried noodles from Sun Hong Kong in Berkeley! I had it almost every other week for half my pregnancy. I dunno why it doesn’t taste quite as delish now, but I sure loved it then 
Best thing I ever ate? I don’t even know if I can narrow it down lol. Although I was having a very very long facebook convo just today about ice cream. I go crazy for ice cream, it’s my one vice I couldn’t give up. I’m a plain chocolate girl but it was decided that mint chocolate chip is pretty awesome too. Otherwise, I love rich foods such as cream sauces and I also love (mild) Thai food.

I am never good at picking a favorite anything. I love variety…in music, movies, makeup, food, etc. A recent fav is a grilled pork loin, stuffed with cheese, roasted peppers, artichoke, jalepenos and wrppped in bacon. Both easy to make and fancy.
The best thing I ever ate was the Colossal Taco Salad served at a local Mexican restaurant locally. First off the dang salad is served in the largest tortilla bowl I have ever seen. No joke the thing is a big as your head. It is easily enough for two meals. It’s filled with chunks of grilled chicken, beans, rice, tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole, salsa, cheese, and topped off with a few fried tortilla strips. It is a slice of heaven served in a bowl!
This is a tough question. So many great things to choose from. I’ll say a fried oyster po’ boy with remoulade sauce on the side. Followed by a sliver of pecan topped sweet potato pie.
It’s so hard to pick! My boyfriend made a pretty amazing chocolate cheesecake for my birthday this year.

The best thing I ever ate was a big, juicy cheeseburger – all cheeseburgers are pretty good to me, but this one had a buttery, garlicky, slightly toasted bun, and that made all the difference!

Some of you might not know what that actually is but let me tell you when its cooked by a bred in the bone ‘Yorkshire Lass’ it takes some beating!
The best thing I ate was chocolate truffle gelasso in a small ice-cream shop in Pasadena, it felt like I was eating pure chocolate and not chocolate ice-cream.
The best thing I ever ate (recently) is a Belgian waffle wit bacon, syrup, and powdered sugar from a food truck. Sooooo good. The bacon is inside the waffle batter!!!

The best thing I ever ate is my mom’s homemade spaghetti meat sauce. It’s not just the taste that’s great, its that warm feeling it leaves you with. Hoping this will be one of the first things I get to eat when I get back home to Australia next year.
That must be my own cinnamon rolls, because to me, they are perfect. I haven’t had store bough pastries in yonks, so I don’t remember how they would compare though!
There is a chocolate chip cheesecake at Mike’s Bakery in Boston’s North End that is to die for. I live in Texas now, but my parents still live in NH, so when I fly up to see them I usually fly into Boston so I can go get the cheesecake. Is that bad?

In Lisbon, Portugal there is an restaurant called La Brasserie de l’Entrecôte. They do not offer any menu as there is only one option; the worlds best Entrecote. It is 10 years ago, but the memory of that meal alone is the main reason for why the Capitol of Portugal is on the top list of places I need to revisit some day.

This summer I went to a restaurant called the Duck Soup Inn and got chicken with goat cheese and habanero blueberry sauce over creamy polenta. It was sooooo dreamy.

The best thing I ever ate was my mom’s Shepherd’s Pie, which she only makes on my birthday and when my brother comes to visit (so not very often at all!). That stuff is seriously sooo good!

The best thing i ever ate is the cassata, a typical Sicilian cake filled with ricotta cheese, chocolate, candied fruit and liqueur…simply delicious! To be honest the whole Sicilian confectionery is delicious, yummy!

I had macaroni and cheese at this little restaurant in the Paris hotel and casino in las vegas. It was cheesey perfection!

The best thing i ever ate is probably persian food. Spicy, but not too spicy, non sticky rice and really a vast choice of condiments, that I absolutely adore. Their sweets are awesome too!
Oh, that’s a tough one- I’m a rather simple girl who is really fussy about her eating. But one of those things I would like to try again is the home made saffron ice cream I had in Stockholm a looooong time ago. I love both the smell and taste of saffron.

The best thing I’ve ever eaten is from this 24 hour French bakery by my college. Their salted caramel brownies are the best! the brownie is fudgy and the caramel is so good. It has 50/50 caramel to brownie ratio. Yum.

The best thing I ever ate was at The Melting Pot with my fiancé. We got dessert and it was chocolate melted with caramel, and we had fresh fruit, brownies, marshmallows, rice crispy treats and other goodies to dip into it. Everything seemed to literally melt in your mouth!

It might not be the best single item food I ever ate, but a few years ago at an inn in Germany my family and I had the best breakfast any of us has ever had–fresh crusty rolls from the town bakery, piping hot hard boiled eggs, milk and cream and butter from the alpine cows down the street….very simple food but absolutely delicious and no other breakfast comes close!

The clams are fresh from Carril, in Galicia, in Spain, and the sauce is simple and delicious.
It is said here that if there is enought sauce from sailor’s clams, then there is enough food for anyone.
If you ever come to Spain, to Galicia, ask for them.

The best thing I ever ate is probably a Chilean sea bass special at a restaurant called Lamberti’s Cucina. It was served with shiitake mushrooms, broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes and was covered in a rich, creamy orange-colored sauce.
Best thing I ever ate? First thing that comes to mind is an anniversary dinner at a wonderful restaurant: flat iron steak with a cherry wine sauce and fries with truffle dipping sauce. Mouth.watering.

Hmm, sadly I don’t have something that is “the best I ever ate”
, at least it isn’t something I crave even though it was very good. I really like this fancy restaurant in San Diego’s steak. It was sirloin I think and had the softest consistency ever. It was melt in your mouth good. But for some reason, I never crave it. I always crave boba/bubble/tapioca almond milk tea though!
The best thing I ever ate was a big bowl of fresh clam chowder at a fish house on the coast in Maine. I haven’t found chowder as delicious as that one anywhere else in the country.
The best thing I ever ate was this shrimp dish my dad used to make. Jumbo tiger shrimp stir-fried with veggie and tomato sauce. He always used to make it for any special occasion or celebration, i.e. my birthday, graudation, etc. so it adds a sentimental value to the dish too!

It’s hard to pick just one thing, but it would probably have to be the tiramisu at Macaroni Grill that I’ve had many times before. It’s probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. It’s creamy, moist, sweet, and has the perfect amount of rum and coffee flavor in it. They give you a pretty big slice too! Just writing about it makes me want to go get some.

Oh, that’s a tough question. Hmm…the best thing I ever ate was probably a tomato ravioli dish at this vegan restaurant. It sounds like it’s run-of-the-mill, but everything was organic, and they made every part of it from scratch. By far the most delicious ravioli I’ve ever had…and I’ve eaten a lot! (Fear me, ravioli!

The best thing I ever ate is the spicy pork kimchee burrito from HRD Coffee Shop in SF! Who knew Korean food would go well in a tortilla?! HRD was also featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dive on the Food Network. All the attention they get is well-deserved, and I don’t mind waiting in the long lines for their food. YUM!!!!

The best thing I ever ate was Cherry Almond flavoured ice-cream. There was an ice-cream parlour in Wellington and every school hols (when I would go and stay with my Gran), I would get an ice-cream from there.
The parlour is long gone and I have never been able to find that flavour again.
My grandma used to make THE most amazing plum cake. She used Italian plums, and and the combination of her perfect, sweet, crumbly streusel, and the soft,warm, tart plums was just mind-blowing to me when I was a kid.
Sadly, Gram passed away a few years back, so I haven’t had plum cake in far too long. She made sure to write down the recipe for me, so I can make it someday, but I haven’t yet, because I worry that mine won’t live up to the memory of hers.

The best thing I’ve eaten I don’t even know the name of…. it’s a chocolate mini cone from a local Swedish Bakery. A little glazed cone dipped in chocolate and filled with some sort of light, fluffy chocolate creme that is the perfect amount of sweet. It’s truly amazing.

Well I love to cook, but my boyfriend’s mother makes this Balkan dish called “pita.”
It’s only like three ingredients but so good. It’s basically a cheese mixture wrapped in filo dough. My mother also makes a carrot, rice, and cheddar casserole and it is always amazing!
The best thing I ever ate was a Kobe Steak lunch in Kobe with the love of my life, who also had to suffer through said steak, if second hand.

Hmmm, I really like food so this is a hard one. I think maybe the best thing I ever ate was my (Swedish) ex-boyfriends cooking. He used heavy whipping cream, butter and cheese in everything, but MAN was it good! The cheese he used was exceptional – I wish I could remember the name, but I remember it meant something like ‘barn cheese’ in Sweden. LOL

For my confirmation my family brought me to a fancy restaurant to celebrate and for dessert I was allowed to order anything I wanted butIi was twelve so I didn’t know what any of the fancy dessert things were lol so I picked at random and I was brought a plate of towering sweet fresh cream filled pastry covered in still warm melted chocolate with a rasperry coulis on the side for dipping. OMG it was amazing I still order them whenever I can but none of them ever compare to the first time

REAL New York Cheesecake. I made it, and it cost a small fortune with all the cream cheese I had to buy. But, it was so worth it. Thick, Dense, Creamy, and perfectly browned on the top. It was so rich and decadent, I didn’t crave sugar for 2 months after that.
The best thing I ever ate was my momma’s Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing. She cooks the stuffing in the bird and it’s pretty much the best thing ever!!

I can no longer eat popcorn due to allergies, and while I don’t pine for it or anything, I certainly get nostalgic from time to time about munching on a bag during a movie. One day recently I opened up a Jelly Belly jelly bean sampler and chose one at random – only to discover that it was POPCORN flavored! Needless to say: I nearly fell over from happiness. I had no idea how much I had missed that taste.
The best thing i ever ate was the first time i had sushi. We ate until we were stuffed; i was a broke college kid, and my friends hid the bill and bought dinner for me.
Too hard to pick just one best thing I ever ate! A fresh mango was really delicious, and kind of a revelation, and I had this amazing potato salad at a cafe in Scotland. But I have had many other delicious foods…and food can taste so much better when you are really hungry.

I cannot get enough of a local Afghan restaurant’s rosewater-pistachio-saffron ice cream. The fragrance alone is enough to make me swoon. Utterly delicious!
The best thing I have ever eaten in my life was fried chicken wings made by my friend’s mother. I usually abhor oily food and I would peel away the chicken skin should I eat fried chicken wings, but THOSE were a different league seriiously. There was absolutely no fat under the skin yet the meat was so tender and juciy and flavourful. They didn’t feel greasy at all! I couldn’t stop reaching for them like they were some health food I could eat guilt free! I regretted not asking for the recipe cos I just never tasted anything that came close after that.

The best thing I’ve ever eaten would probably be a roasted artichoke dressed with garlic butter. It was perfect and amazing and I need to get my little outdoor grill set up so I can try to make them at home.
oh no this is hard. the best thing i have most recently ate would be a shrimp burger at a beach restaurant. the shrimp were chopped and molded into a burger. it was grilled and seasoned and loaded with creamy white cheese. soooo yummy.

When I was 15 I went to Singapore to file for permanent residence (it’s where my dad is from). The cafeteria in the ICA building had the most amazing mee siam in the universe, and unlike cafeterias in large buildings here, the food didn’t cost ten bucks per serving. Seven years later and I still drool over the thought of it. I wonder when I have to renew my status?

Best thing I’ve ever eaten was a Mediterranean salad that my mom’s friend’s husband made for a pot luck….I am still trying to get the recipe! It was delish, it had zucchini, cous cous, olives, red, green and yellow bell peppers, Greek olives, chick peas and a little bit of saffron. I was the most flavorful salad I had ever had; I ate three servings and didn’t touch anything else at the potluck, not even the sambusas!
The best thing I ever ate was a Lamington. Chocolate, cake, coconut…perfection!

Oh my gosh, I might as well pick a favorite book. Um. Currently, the most recent Best Thing is a steak from the Tornado Room in Madison, WI…but then there’s the chicken curry with a side of saag aloo from the Indian restaurant down the street from my parent’s house….or the cheddar biscuits that my friend the pastry chef makes…or my granny’s chocolate cake…..I could go on and on like this for days.
The best thing I’ve ever eaten are my grandmother’s fried sweet potatoes. She coats them in brown sugar, then pan fries them. No matter how hard I try, I have yet to replicate the delicious perfection!
Oooooh, as a foodie, this is a TOUGH one! I’d have to say that the best thing I’ve ever eaten is the tres leche cake at the Brazilian BBQ, Bolero, in Calgary, AB. It’s about 6 pounds of moist, rich, delectable goodness that was a perfect way to end a meal, and a wonderful treat on a night out.
I’d have to say this amazing chocolate cake I had at a chocolate bar. It was absolutely sinful.

I’m not good with superlatives; I’m too afraid of getting things wrong. But one of the best things I have eaten recently was at the restaurant where my husband works: an individual apple pie with honey cinnamon ice cream with pomegranate molasses.

Hi VV. Best thing I have ever eaten was the Moonpie at Pappas Steakhouse in Houston, TX. =) Moonpie = oreo cookie crust with chocolate mouse and a chocolate ganauche and house made toffee sprinkled on the top. Inside of the mouse was house-made marshmallows, and it was topped with a house-made marshmallow lightly toasted ^_________^ so good! btw if you guys ever go, its not on the dessert menu anymore, but you can ask for it!!

I think that you haven’t lived life to the fullest if you never tried Belgian pralines or Belgian specialties. My absolute favorite is a gaufre with whipped cream, tons of strawberries and melted bitter chocolate. The taste of this dessert is simply out of this world!

The best thing I ever ate is in my freezer right now – Turkey Hill Party Cake ice cream. Mounds of creamy frosting and confetti cake bits miraculously mixed into vanilla ice cream for the ultimate in sugary perfection. I could go through two pints a day if I had the money for it.

There is a bagel cafe by my apartment that has the BEST bagelwiches… best thing I ever ate was the “Super Emma” — bagel of your choice (I prefer herb and cheese) with pesto parmesan cream cheese, tomato, avocado, cheddar or swiss cheese, toasted then topped with fresh sprouts. AMAZING!
