Wet n Wild’s Megalast Lipcolor Lipsticks come in twenty colors, all with a semi-matte creme formula.
They are made with hydrating skin care”Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.”
They claim that these last up to 4 hours and glide on easily with no feathering, bleeding or caking. Those claims are all pretty much true!
They do last 4 hours but they aren’t quite as creamy as I would have liked. They definitely feel on the drier side as matte lipsticks will. They feel more comfortable to me with a lip balm under them – after about 2 hours of wear I can feel my lips drying out if I don’t use a balm.
I was able to try 19 of the 20 colors (the only one missing is Wine Room (#906D) and I truly think these are some good lipsticks. They have their faults but what doesn’t?
One of the faults is the whole numbering system. These do all have actual names, however the name is on the protective plastic wrap that seals them closed, so once you tear that off, you are left only with a number on the bottom of the tube. That pretty much drives me nuts! It also made this post difficult because I mixed a few up them up and had to then go back and match the actual names on the website to my numbers.
The tubes themselves are pretty decent for the price. They don’t feel heavy-duty or particularly sturdy, but not cheap or really flimsy either.
Vamp It Up (919B), Rose-Bud (904B), Ravin’ Raisin (916D), Sugar Plum Fairy (908C), Spiked With Rum (915B)
Vamp It Up (which used to be my sign-off on my blog) is a very dark blackened purple. Looking for a goth type of purple? This is your friend. Gorgeous color but VERY dramatic on fair skin!
Rose-Bud is a medium warm pinky/brown color. This is a really pretty easy-to-wear color.
Ravin’ Raisin is a deep plum/brown color. It’s dark but not overly dark and easy to pull off.
Sugar Plum Fairy is a bright cool fuchsia pink. It looks much darker in the tube actually, I had no idea it was going to be this color. I love this one!
Spiked With Rum is a warm dark pink/brown this another one that I think is easy to wear and good for a lot of different skin tones.

Just Peachy (903C), Bare It All (902C), Cherry Bomb (918D), Pink Sugar (900B), Sand Storm (913C)
Just Peachy is a very pale peach/pink. It actually looks a lot more mod from a distance than up close. It’s very whitened and has a strong 60’s vibe to it. I wish it was less whitened and more peach because I think it would be more wearable then.
Bare It All is a medium/light warm nude. This is a gorgeous nude, not too light or dark, not too pink or brown. I really love this one.
Cherry Bomb is a dark blood red. It’s a little patchy, but is really nice dark red.
Pink Sugar is a very light salmon nude pink. This is another one that is very mod, very 60’s and not so easy to wear.
Sand Storm is a warm medium orange/brown color. This is one I didn’t expect to like on me but I actually did.
Bare It All
Mauve Outta Here (907C), Red Velvet (910D), Smokin’ Hot Pink (905D), Mocha-licious (914C), Cinnamon Spice (917B)
Mauve Outta Here is a medium cool purple/pink. This might be my favorite one because it’s really creamy, a perfect pink/purple color and it’s bright but not TOO bright. Love it and have worn it 3 or 4 times already.
Red Velvet is a bright cool cherry red. If you love blue-based reds, then this one is a really great one. Bright and fabulous.
Smokin’ Hot Pink is a warm medium bright pink. Great pink!
Mocha-licious is a dark warm mocha brown color. I did not think I would like this on me at all but I loved it! I used to wear colors like this from MAC back in the early 90’s (Del Rio & Twig) so this reminds me of those days.
Cinnamon Spice is a dark brick-red/brown color. I like this one just not on me as much as a darker skin tone I think.

Smokin’ Hot Pink
Stoplight Red (911D), In The Flesh (912C), Think Pink (901B), Coral-Ine (909D)
Stoplight Red is a bright cool true red. This is AMAZING, I love it. Love all these reds!
In The Flesh is a medium warm pinky brown color. Another really good solid color that a lot of people can wear.
Think Pink is a cool, pale whitened pink. Another mod one, very hard to pull off and a little chalky.
Coral-Ine is a bright coral red color. This is one of my very favorites ones because it’s a beautiful color and not just another red.
In The Flesh
These are really quite great overall! There are some issue with the more pale colors looking chalky and hard to wear, but most of them have great pigmentation and are really nice colors. If you have drier lips you will definitely want to wear a balm underneath them to keep your lips moist. I mean for 3 bucks, you kind of can’t go wrong!
