NARS Night Series Nail Polish Collection for Fall 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review
NARS Night Breed Nail Polish Collection for fall 2011 includes four new glittery, shimmery nail shades.
When I saw the promo for this collection I knew there was no point even trying to resist most of them. These are my kind of colors!
The one I did skip was Night Rider, which is a soft plum/purple with silver glitter.
These are based off the NARS Night Series Eyeshadows, of which I have none for some reason! I might have to remedy that with their new limited edition Night Series Eyeshadow Palette though, which looks amazing.
The formula, as with most NARS polish was amazing. It was thick, smooth, flowed evenly and all were just two coats. Night Porter was almost one!

Night Porter is a dark forest green with gold and blue shimmer. It’s got a bit of a murky or slight blackened look to the edges. They called it a “black with green pearls” and the promo shot made it look like a serious olive green. I am kind of disappointed that it wasn’t olive green at all, but I still really like it.

Night Flight
Night Flight is a deep cobalt blue with light blue and purple shimmer. Wow. The shimmer in this is definitely what makes it stand out and makes it drool worthy. This is a gorgeous color, my favorite one in the collection. I can’t think of any other blue I have with this same type of shimmer. Awesome.

Night Breed is a dark opaque black with SUPER heavy tiny flake silver glitter. There is more silver in this than black, it’s that glittery. I really like it, but it does remind me of Orly Goth. I would have to swatch them together to really see the differences and compare (hmm another “vs” post perhaps!). Still I really like it and it was so opaque!

I love this collection! I am happy I bought all of them even though they are pricey. I love all the colors and the formula is outstanding.

I really want Night Flight and Night Breed!
These just came in the mail for me yesterday! I love them! I can’t wait to swatch them all for real this weekend, just tried them on a nail wheel last night. I have to say, that after Night Breed, Night Rider was my favorite! I thought it’d be my least favorite (I only got it because I’m insane and wanted the full collection) but it’s so pretty in person!

These are my kind of dark colors. My fave here is Night Porter, though I don’t feel there’s anything original in this collection.

Yes, I’d really appreciate if you could do a comparison post with swatches of NARS Night Breed and Orly Goth. Goth is so much more affordable, and if it’s close enough, I’d just get that.

I’d love to see a comparison between Nars Night Flight and Illamasqua Phallic. The Illamasqua is my favorite sparkly dark blue, and I’d love to see how the Nars stacks up!

I think Orly Goth is more black, less silver. I’d be curious to see it compared to Nubar Knight’s Armor.
