Welcome to another edition of Q&A!

Question:

How do you care for a broken nail? Do you cut or file them all down, or put on a fake one until it grows out?

Answer:

I am a strong believer in keeping nails all the same length. Maybe a FRACTION of a bit shorter doesn’t bother me, but overall it’s a giant pet peeve of mine when I see nails all various lengths. It looks messy and just not good.

Since I keep my nails pretty short, when I break one (which is pretty frequently) I have no issue cutting them all off. They usually grow back with a week anyway. But I know that there are those of you very really long nicely shaped nails and when one breaks it’s pretty horrible! I myself have never used a fake nail or nail glue to mend a nail until it grows out, but know that people definitely do. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that method at all. Are you a wine fanatic? If so you might love the colors in the new Duri Wine Tasting Party Collection for fall 2011.

The collection definitely isn’t one I would classify as unique or mind-blowing. It’s pretty subdued and fairly predictable. Most are reds but there is one color that I truly am mesmerized by!

The formula was not as consistent as Duri usually is for me. It could be because a few of these were jelly-like consistencies. I found the shimmery one and creme ones to be the best smoothest formula.

Grape Swirl

Grape Swirl is the color I mentioned above as being the one I absolutely love in this collection. The color is a dusted greyed out grape purple with blue and green and pink shimmer and a very slight frost. This was like I expect Duri’s formula to be. Totally buttery smooth and almost applied itself. This was two coats.

Wet n Wild’s Color Icon Brow and Eye Liners are pretty darn good stuff!

I have almost all of the fifteen colors (am missing Cool Green) and really like the payoff and color range.

Also I LOVE how long these are! They are much longer than your average liner which means more bang for your buck.

Zoya Faye in first photo and Zoya Faye with a Calvin Klein shirt in the second photo. The polish was gifted to her by a friend and she’s not normally a fan of pinks. She loves how the color changes from pink in the sunlight to a copper in the evenings and a mix of both indoors.
