Zoya Mirrors Collection for Fall 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review
This fall Zoya is releasing two collections called Smoke & Mirrors.
Mirrors is a collection of six new shimmery and metallic colors, sure to whet your palette for the cooler fall days!
- Nimue – Smoky rich thistle metallic
- Marina – Smoky steel blue metallic
- Tao – Smoky slate grey metallic
- Yara – Sparkly olive green metallic
- Neeka – Sparkly amethyst purple metallic
- Jem – Sparkly fandango pink metallic
The formula was really great with all of these. I didn’t really have any issues with streaking or any problems whatsoever actually. The three shimmery colors in particular were creamy and buttery. SO nice. All covered perfectly in just two coats.

Nimue
Nimue is a sort of muted lilac/grey color with a silvery metallic finish. Pretty color and no streaks!
Marina
Marina is a very unique looking steel blue with silvery metallic finish. I like that it’s a medium blue, not too dark or light and looks very different form a lot of other steel blue colors I already have.
Tao
Tao is a medium grey metallic with silvery finish. It’s a cross between silver and grey and I think that makes it a little different than your standard metallic grey. Very pretty.
Yara
Yara is !!!!!!!!!!! I mean really, what is not to love about this color? It’s a medium olive green with heavy yellow shimmer. STUNNING. Stunning. I love.
Neeka
Neeka is !!!!!!!!! Again we have another totally beautiful color. This is kind of a muted royal purple with tons of gold shimmer. Unique and really gorgeous!
Jem
Jem is another gorgeous one. It’s a dark pink/purple with lots of pink and gold shimmer. This one glows and is such a perfect fall jewel-toned color.
Overall:
This is a really great collection, there isn’t a color here that I don’t like. The shimmery ones in particular are all very pretty, unique and gorgeous. I will be wearing these like NOW because I cannot wait for fall!

Marina looks a lot like Essie’s Fair Game to me. Overall I’m not impressed by this collection, only Neeka and Yara are standing out.

it’s 3:30 am where I live,and I woke up,decided to take a peek on the mobile browser,then said to myself, in my disappointment,that maybe the colors will look prettier on the computer. These trully are what the collection is called Illusions,Smoke and Mirrors,etc…I don’t think that they are AS pretty as the Promo Pics. I got myself all excited when I saw the promo pics,but now I feel deflated. I am sorry to be a downer. Maybe I am not ready for fall yet,although fall collections usually do get my full attention,since it is my favorite season of the year,besides winter.
Something about Neeka and Marina remind me of the Rescue Beauty Tudors collection. I know they aren’t dupes but they give me a similar feel.
I am really excited about this collection…especially Jem and YARA!! YAY

I think depending on my mood at the time, which is always what decides which color polish I’m wearing…. I could roll with all of these. Neeka & Yara are the absolute stand outs though, so pretty.
