Dior St. Tropez Vernis Swatches & Photos

Looking for the perfect light blue nail polish to don for summer? Also looking to spend a pretty penny on it? Look no further then Dior Vernis in St. Tropez.
I got a little crazy for some reason when I first heard about this color and had an URGENT need to possess it. Like I don’t already have 12 million light blue nail polishes. But somehow this spoke to me.
St. Tropez seems like the absolute perfect color to wear on your nails when you are on a tropical island. And it’s not just the name, the color screams BEACH, STAT!
This color was actually created for the Dior boutique opening in Saint Tropez and is limited edition.

St. Tropez
Isn’t she lovely? She’s a pale blue/green color and until I actually saw my swatches, I didn’t even know she had shimmer! Yes deep in there there is some very sparse light blue shimmer. But for all intents and purposes (do you know I used to think that phrase was all intensive purposes? I mean for decades I thought that! I digress) it’s a creme.

See the shimmer?
Anyways was this worth the price? Yes and no? I still am pretty happy that I own it, but I’m not sure why since I have others like it. I guess it’s because I just can’t get enough of these blues and every time I see a new one in a different bottle, I get all giddy inside.
It’s the small things people.
Availability: On their website now but limited edition. Looks like it might be sold out folks
Pricing: $21.00
Did or would you fork over the dough for this one?

Uh-oh, I think I’m in love.
I am getting giddy about colors like St. Tropez too, Kelly!
I should have it in the mail today and I am so excited I could squee.
this has been unavailable on the website forever =( I NEED it =( hopefully when they say momentarily unavailable they MEAN it and it’s not just there to get my hopes up and make them crash and burn lol
Hi Brooke,
Oh no! I got it from the site and when I looked yesterday it was still there
I DEFINITELY thought it was intensive purposes for most of my life. You’re not alone.
I thought it was “intensive purposes” too! For years and years.
This is a beautiful colour, especially for the season and it looks wonderful on you. I’m going to pass on it, though, only because I’m trying to save a bit – the fall China Glaze and OPI collections are gonna kill my wallet! Haha!
LOVE fun blues like this for summer but I agree I have a lot of other colors like this, awesome shimmer though!
THIS! I need this. It might be $21 but part of me is totally willing to pay that!
I like it! Probably won’t shell out for it, though, because I bought Chanel Graphite and Chanel Peridot and couldn’t believe I spent $50 on two bottles of polish, and 2) I fear it won’t be that flattering on me (for example, China Glaze For Audrey is less complementary than I thought it would be, but it’s not so bad that I can’t stand it on, so I make it work).
Price tag shock; Ouch! Got any dupe recommendations by any chance? Thanks.
I have Sally Hansen Barracuda, and it looks quite similar. It is a creme, though, no shimmer. Still love the color!
I usually balk at paying this much for a polish, but the “kinda blue-kinda green” color has been my STAPLE over the past year, and I own so many yet keep buying them because the color sucks me in every time. So I MAY just have to buy this one. ;P
So pretty! I’m loving light blues lately. Wish it was cheaper. I thought it was intensive purposes too!
St. Tropez is really nice!!! I’ll pass on it only because I have plenty of light blues.
this is such a pretty color. the price tag is a killer though. =[
It’s so funny, I just made my first high end polish purchase with Chanel Peridot and now I’m actually considering more HE polishes. A few years ago when my addiction was just starting I would NEVER have paid that much, heck I wouldn’t have even worn the color. It’s scary how quicky the addiction progresses.
I’m soooo glad I’m not the only one who thought the phrase was all intensive purposes!!! It wasn’t until recently, thankfully not as recently as this post hahaha, that I figured out the actual phrase. Anyyyyyyways, St. Tropez is a lovely color, but you’re right, I can think of about 10 other polishes very similar to this.
How does it compare to For Audrey, and Gumdrop and Tiffany Imposter? Also is it close to Ruby Kisses in Teal Envy? Because I have all of these and I am afraid that I may need this Dior too! Please comment!!
Thanks VV!
I hate to break it to you all, but this is sold out at Dior and they are not getting any more. St. Tropez is already selling for nearly $100 a bottle on the evil bay.
Hi KR,
That sucks it showed available yesterday!
It shows up on the website, but you can’t order it. The message says that it’s temporarily unavailable, but I called Dior CS–it’s gone for good. Beautiful color, and lovely swatch as always though!
I’ve had the site open on my computer for two days checking on this and it wasn’t available any of the times I checked–which was a lot! I’m with the others and they mean ‘momentarily unavailable’ like they say. Otherwise, it should say sold out and not play with us!
I love Dior… and I’m sorry I missed this shade
Beautiful shade of blue. I have a few Dior’s. It would have to be really very special for me to buy it.
Love this color! I have sunglasses from Target and the frames are this color, I always get compliments haha. If you want a cheaper version of this though, try Essie’s “Turquoise and Caicos”, it’s almost identical but has no shimmer. I just wore it last week and loved it on my hands
This is beautiful, and I’m a sucker for turquoise. I got lucky, as a very kind SA from a Dior Boutique is mailing me the last one from her store! There is something so luxurious about Dior Vernis that has me hooked in a way that Chanel has yet to do. I only wish they hadn’t changed to the paddle brush; I much prefer the ease of application I get with the flat brush.
