Benefit Eye Wanna and Eye Gotta

Benefit’s Eye Wanna! Eye Gotta! Maggie & Annie Collection Kits for fall 2011 are new and exclusive to Sephora.

Who are Maggie & Annie? Maggie & Annie Ford Danielson are Benefit Global Beauty Authorities. They worked with Barcelona-based artist Pietari Posti for the cover artwork, which I think is really cool! Reminds me a little of the Duran Duran Rio album artwork, but more modern. 🙂

The kits each contain three velvet powder eye shadows and two mini creaseless cream shadow/liners in little pots.

The Maggie Collection features cool-toned colors in silver, purple and blue. The Annie Collection features warm-toned colors in taupe, green and purple.

Benefit The Maggie Collection Swatches
Static, Airbrush, Skyline, Inked, Deco

The Maggie Collection is very well suited to my skin tone, though both work nicely on me.

The creaseless cream shadow/liners are very moist and creamy and super easy to blend. I found Airbrush to be a little patchy though.

The velvet shadows are very soft and have really nice pigmentation.

Foiled, Flash, Canopy, Purple Haze, Spiced

The Annie Collection features warmer tones and is incredibly pretty!

The Cream shadow/liners are deeper here and you get more pigmentation with them. I love them both.

The velvet shadows again are very pigmented and so soft. All three are so pretty but I am really partial to Canopy and Spiced. Gorgeous!

Benefit Maggie Look

Here is a look I did with the Maggie Collection.

I used the Static creaseless cream shadow as a base all over my lid. Then I added Skyline on top of that all over the lid. I then used Deco in my crease and MAC Vanilla under brows. I added Inked to my lower lash line. The black liner on top and lower waterline is Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Cream Liner in Black. On my cheeks is Estee Lauder Sunset Pink Blush and on my lips is Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipcolor in Mauve Outta Here (907C). On my face I’ve got on Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm.

Overall:

I really like both of these kits. I love that they include the creaseless creme shadows (which really are creaseless on me at least over a shadow primer) as well as powder shadows. I love the colors in both but am drawn to Annie a little more because of the deep brown and green.
