BB Couture Eye Candy For Men Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
BB Couture has a new collection out called Eye Candy and as per the norm, there is a “For Men” side and the regular side. Today I’m covering For Men.
I’m always excited to see new stuff from one of my very favorite nail polish brands and this is a really cool collection – with some unusual colors.
The formula was really great with all six of these. All but one were two coats.
Dirty Blond
Dirty Blond is a warm putty/beige creme. It’s sort of camel colored but looked more like an orange-based putty color to me. This was not one I expected to even sort of like judging from the bottle alone, but as soon as I had it on I totally loved it. It’s really unusual and a very oddball color. Kind of a nude but not really. Fabulous! This was two coats.
Rustic Romance
Rustic Romance is a warm burnt light orange with tiny specks of shimmer. This was another super strange looking one that I FULLY expected to hate but I LOVE. Somehow this orange totally works with my skin and doesn’t make me look sickly. It completely reminds me of the 1970′s but in a good way. This was two coats.
Silver Fox
Silver Fox is a light grey with silver shimmer. I like this one, but don’t love it. I don’t think it’s all that interesting for me personally, but it’s still a nice silver. This was the only one that required three coats.
Sexy Centerfold
Sexy Centerfold is a medium grass green with silver/pink/blue shimmer. Another fabulous green from BB! This is really a pretty color and the shimmer is nice and obvious. This was two coats.
Heavenly Hunk
Heavenly Hunk is a light sky blue with blue and pink shimmer. I love this color blue and I love the shimmer with it. I cannot not be happy when I have a color like this on my nails! This was two coats.
Playboy
Playboy is a deep blue teal with loads of blue and pink shimmer. First off YUM. The base color is this murky watery blue teal which I love. Looks green but not green-green, if you know what I mean. The shimmer just makes it totally glow. It’s got amazing depth and is kind of mesmerizing to look at. This was two coats.
Overall:
Fabulous collection! The only one I didn’t totally love was Silver Fox but that’s because I have A LOT of polish and have something similar. The most unique ones are Dirty Blond and Rustic Romance, but Playboy, Sexy Centerfold and Heavenly Hunk are all totally amazing also.

I really like Dirty Blond but I’m not sure it would work well with my skin tone. I’m definitely putting Sexy Centerfold and Heavenly Hunk on my must-buy list, though!
I LOVE Playboy and Sexy Centerfold! Would totally buy them .. especially Playboy, the shimmer is just so pretty.
Playboy is a really pretty mermaid color! I want to get it! Does this chip easily?

Hard for me to judge since I normally change my polish every 2 days usually, and nothing lasts on me longer than that anyways. However, I’ve never heard people complaining that BB was “chippy” (unlike Chanel and Zoya can be).

I bought some BB Couture after reading Kelly’s reviews and I have to say it does not disappoint! Regarding chipping: I travel a fair amount for work and want my nails to be presentable since I am visiting clients. BB Couture is becoming my “business trip” polish because it wears so well. That’s my experience, anyway, hope it helps!

Why do I always think of that bloggers eyeshadow from MAC when I see nail polish shades like Playboy?
It’s annoying.. I still want that damn Jealousy wakes eyeshadow PLUS all nail polish that remind me of it!

I like that BB Couture puts out unusual colors like Dirty Blond, Rustic Romance, and Sexy Centerfold, but I know those won’t look good on me! It kind of reminds me of the Atlantis (I think that’s what it was called?) collection For Men…I liked those colors, but knew they wouldn’t work!
Silver Fox is a bit disappointing, but the collection is great overall! I can’t wait to see the rest!

Sexy Centerfold is really speaking to me. It appears to be a fairly unique shade of green; I can’t find anything like it. Definitely on my list to buy!

I LOVE the dirty blonde and rustic romance- i love unique colors and these two certainly are – a must have!! They are actually the only two in the collection i feel the strong need to own haha

I always love your swatches of BB Couture colors. I love them all. Playboy reminds me of Pipe Bender. I hope to get all the cool toned colors except Silver Fox. I wish BB Couture would permanently switch to white caps. It looks much better to me.
I always like the men’s collection better than the women’s.
I’m wearing a color that’s close to Sexy Centerfold right now. It’s from Forever21 and called Chocolate Mint. Yup, it’s a scented one that did smell like mint for the first 24 hours but it’s been 3 days and it’s worn off now. It leans just a little more yellow and the shimmer is grass green micro glitter, (I like that it doesn’t match so that it stands out) and just a little bit of lavender micro glitter.
