BB Couture Eye Candy Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

BB Couture Eye Candy Collection BB Couture Eye Candy Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

This afternoon I’ve got part deux of the BB Couture Eye Candy collection.

This part might not have as many odd colors, but it’s great nonetheless.

The formula once again was really good with pretty much all of these. There were a couple that required three coats here though.

BB Couture Scorching Strawberry BB Couture Eye Candy Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Scorching Strawberry

Scorching Strawberry is a bright medium pink with very subtle shimmer. This one is very shiny and what I would consider a “happy” color. Super pretty, maybe not all that unique though. This was two coats.

BB Couture Junk In The Trunk BB Couture Eye Candy Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Junk In The Trunk

Junk In The Trunk is a vivid blue with light blue shimmer. Totally gorgeous! I love how bright it is and I adore the shimmer. It’s such a great and flattering blue for so many skin tones. Super creamy also. This was two coats.

BB Couture Feathered Vixen BB Couture Eye Candy Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Feathered Vixen

Feathered Vixen is a kind of smokey deep lavender with silvery shimmer. I wasn’t all that excited about this until I got to the third coat. It is a little more sheer than most of the others and took three coats to build up. It’s a really pretty purple!

BB Couture Sweet Silicone BB Couture Eye Candy Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Sweet Silicone

Sweet Silicone is a medium evergreen with a frosty finish and holographic micro-glitter. The color is pretty, but I’ll be honest, I don’t like the finish personally. I wish the glitter was more on the top of the polish rather than kind of settled down in it, which makes it look s little lumpy. This was two coats, but streak-free.

BB Couture Trim Tassled BB Couture Eye Candy Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Trim and Tassled

Trim and Tassled is a medium purple with lots of regular and holographic glitter. This started off sheer, but built up nicely after three coats. You can still see my nail line though. Because of all the glitter it’s a little thicker to work with so definitely wait in-between coats, lest you get drag marks.

BB Couture Busty Bombshell BB Couture Eye Candy Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Busty Bombshell

Busty Bombshell is a olive-green/gold base with holographic glitter. This is kind of an unusual color and I do really like it. It was on the thin side though so it needed three coats for opacity. I am kind of on the fence about this finish, not sure if I love it or not. I think I would prefer it with shimmer rather than glitter, but that’s just me!

Overall:

I like this half of the collection, though I think some of the colors aren’t perhaps as interesting as the men’s side. The must haves for me are Junk In The Trunk and Busty Bombshell.

Availability: BB Couture’s website and OverallBeauty

Pricing: $8.95 each

What do you think about these?

  • I like them! I would probably just get four out of the six though. The green and the gold/olive-green one feel a bit meh to me. I’m not fond of that finish either. But I love the other ones!

  • As a G-cup, I feel like I need Busty Bombshell for the name alone XD Doesn’t hurt that the colour is gorgeous.

  • My favorite is the Junk in the trunk, followed by Sweet Silicone. I’m partial to blues and greens.

  • Hi Kelly!
Love your swatches as always! Just letting you know the price of the Eye Candy is $8.95 each cause they are limited edition. I am so glad you like Junk in the Trunk.. it was my color idea.. ;) I think its a happy go lucky like of blue.. but that is just me.:)

  • Haha, the names are funny. They may not be the most unique of colors, but I want to get a few just so I can tell people when they ask that I’m wearing “Junk in the Trunk”.

  • Trim and Tassled looks pretty!

  • They’re okay, I really only like the creme ones. I do like sparkle nail polish but for some reason these don’t sing to me, especially at $10 a pop. I really love feathered vixen!

Junk in the Trunk is a must. When I looked at these on their site, I liked all of them, but expected to skip Scorching Strawberry and Busty Bombshell. Now I’m a little skeptical about Sweet Silicone and Trim and Tasseled. Such a conflict, haha. I really, really like these overall…I’ve found that I tend to like the women’s collections better in general.

    • Hi kelliegonzo,

Thx! Actually they are super short still (only 1/4″ past tip) but luckily unless my nails are serious nubs, they look much longer :)

  • I like them all, but they’re not something I haven’t seen before sadly.

Really? I haven’s seen anything like Feathered Vixen. I’m definitely getting that one, and I’m on the fence over Trim and Tasseled.

Love Busty Bombshell because I love greens and I’m very busty! My other favorite is Junk In the Trunk which is another thing I’ve got plenty of! Gorgeous polishes.

  • I think I would only need three of these six, just as I suspected! Pretty colors and great swatches :)

I love nail polish but I honestly dont like any of these except maybe Busty Bombshell. I love fun colors – currently wearing a bold orange but these seem childish? Thanks for the post!

  • I totally agree on your must-haves, they’re the only two that I really love. I still think Playboy is the jewel of this collection.
