SpaRitual Evolve Collection for Summer 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review

SpaRitual has a new collection out for summer 2011 called Evolve.
It includes six new serene, mellow creme nail colors, and I’ve got a few to show you today.

Moss, Native Rock, Twig

Moss
Moss is a slightly dusty looking mint green creme. It’s definitely not what I think of when I think of the color of moss, which I picture much darker. Anyway, the color is still really nice. It’s not a pastel and it’s not a super minty mint if that makes sense. It has a really mellow tone to it somehow, looking more serene than most mint greens we see. The formula was good, but on the thinner side so I needed three coats for full coverage.

Native Rock
Native Rock is a grey-ish lavender creme. This is a really hard color to describe actually. It looks lavender, taupe and greyish all at once. It’s not my favorite on me because I don’t see enough contrast between it and my skin tone for my tastes. I think it would look really nice on much darker skin than mine. This also was on the thinner side but it still covered in just two coats.

Twig
Twig (also the name of one of my favorite MAC lipsticks from the early 90′s) is a medium cafe au lait taupe creme color. This totally reminds me of the coffee I drink every day. It’s not like most of the taupes we see, it also has that mellowed out serene feel to it that Moss has. Nice color, but again I feel like I want it to be darker on my skin to stand out more. This formula was much like Native Rock, thin but total coverage in two coats.
Overall:
From what I saw this is a nice collection, but perhaps not anything completely original. It seems to be a collection for those who don’t want SUPER summer colors, just nice “quiet” tones.
Availability: Their website and some salons and spas
Pricing: $10.00 each
So what do you feel about these colors? Too plain for you or do they hit just the right note?

I have four from this collection and I am impressed! They apply amazingly in my opinion.
Hi Rachel,
SpaRitual does have a really nice buttery formula with almost every polish I’ve ever tried! Love that.
Native Rock is my favourite, although I know it won’t look right on my skin tone. But wow, such a pretty colour.
I like all the colours from this collection but gotta agree with you, the colours are pretty ‘subdued” for the summer
They are very pretty especially for work but I agree they look more like an early fall release to me than summer.
Love Native Rock and Twig! Right up my alley.
Sacred sands looks like a nice nude color, but the samples look different from what they used
Love them all! Can’t wait to try Moss. I need a serene mint green, since the usual ones look like neons on me.
Mm, nothing I can’t live without. I do like the overall look of the collection, I think ‘serene’ is a good word to describe it. Pretty, but nothing I’m desperately in need of
Aww, looks like they’re all creams
These are so pretty! Love them. I’m wondering…hmm….does Native Rock look anything like RBL Grunge? It sorta does in the pics. Serene indeed!
Lovely colors! I like all of them although they are not original.
I’ve been wanting to see some swatches from this collection, so thank you!
What’s with the I have seen every one of these shades done by another company en mass before? Nothing new or peaking my interest at all to seek out who even has these around me (or on line). Thanks for the swatches and review! I count on bogs to point me to what I need to add to my collection long as it’s not another $33 one!
