NARS Rated R Eyeshadow Duo Swatches, Photos & Review
Somehow I am just now discovering the magic of NARS Eyeshadow Duo’s.
Don’t get me wrong, I have a few of these from long ago, but mostly had overlooked them for some reason. Eyeshadow overload perhaps? But when I was perusing Beauty.com looking to spend some money when they had a sale, I came across a whole bunch of colors that I felt I seriously *needed* and bought a couple.
Rated R ($33) is a duo I cannot believe I didn’t already own. The duo contains a bright shimmery acid green and a bright shimmery swimming pool blue. The green ALONE is worth the price for me people!

The green is a gorgeous yellow-toned acid green with yellow shimmer. I love these types of colors on me, so vibrant and fun!
The blue is a great medium blue color with very subtle shimmer.
Combined I think these make an excellent pair!
The shadows themselves aren’t overly soft, but soft-enough. They are pretty pigmented as well. Not the most pigmented I have ever seen, but really good.
I think this is a really great duo for summer especially if you love brights!

Could you do a look with this? They are really pretty but I’m having a hard time imagining a look.
The blue is very pretty. I love cheerful colours like these – really wakes up the eyes.

They’re nice colors, but i think they’re not very pigmented. Or could be you applied them lightly.

I love these two colors together! I don’t own any NARS eyeshadows, or much NARS in general, but this is being added to my list of “to buy”!

I love the colors! I’m a fan of acid green too. I believe NARS duo eyeshadows are purposefully designed to be a little sheer (according to their website). I like the sheerness because it actually looks more naturally blended when placed on top of skin (as opposed to too pigmented, and you get ACID GREEN no matter what you look like underneath).
I’m still no extensive makeup girl, but this has my heart pounding – hard!

Yep, I’d do them; but right now my favorites are the red and purple of the Caravaggio duo – - better with my coloring.

Wow. I think having these two shades in the same palette really adds to the contrast. Love the blue, but the acid shade is cool, too!
