Cult Nails A Day At The Races Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

Cult Nails A Day At The Races Cult Nails A Day At The Races Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

Cult Nails has a new collection out called A Day At The Races, which consists of five new colors.

In case you aren’t familiar with Cult Nails, this brand was started by nail blogger R3Daily aka Maria not too long ago. She now has about 9 colors and the formula is really pretty excellent.

The one color not shown here is called Captivated and it’s a coral colored jelly with gold and coral glitter.

Cult Nails Cruisin Nude Cult Nails A Day At The Races Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Cruisin’ Nude

Cruisin’ Nude is a pale taupe/nude color with some subtle pink shimmer running throughout. I love the shimmer, it definitely makes this polish more interesting and unique. The formula was super buttery and it flowed really nicely. I got really great coverage with this one, just needed two coats and it was totally opaque.

Cult Nails Devious Nature Cult Nails A Day At The Races Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Devious Nature

Devious Nature is a bright fuchsia/raspberry pink creme. This is a really pretty hot pink color, perhaps not the most unique color I’ve ever seen though. The formula was again, super creamy and also very shiny (no top coat on here). I found it to be a little less opaque than Cruisin’ Nude though so you can barely still see my nail line after two coats.

Cult Nails Let Me Fly Cult Nails A Day At The Races Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Let Me Fly

Let Me Fly is a deep blue/turquoise base, kind of muted out, with tons of silver shimmer. Gorgeous! I love this color and knew it was going to be my favorite the second I laid eyes on it. I love anything dusty-toned, and this blue is beautiful. Again, excellent formula really smooth and creamy and just two coats.

Cult Nails Always Winning Cult Nails A Day At The Races Collection Swatches, Photos & Review
Always Winning

Always Winning is a medium olive green that is kind of sheer but also with a metallic finish and micro gold and holographic glitter. It’s a busy color for sure! I like the base color, but wasn’t overly happy about the sheerness it had to it. I found the formula with this one much thicker than the previous ones mentioned and harder to work with. Because it’s much thicker you definitely have to wait a few minutes in-between coats or you will wind up with cuticle drag and too much on the tips. I needed three coats to get the coverage shown here.

Overall:

I am so happy that Maria is putting out such cool colors and finishes! This is a good strong collection and a lot of fun.

Availability: Cult Nails website

Pricing: $10.00 each

What do you think about these beauties?

  • Let Me Fly is my favorite, and of course Captivated as well. BEAUTIFUL collection. One of the best I’ve seen in a while.

  • Let Me Fly is also my favourite. Dusty blues are so pretty, and the shimmer brings the colour to life instead of being flat.

Thanks for swatching these, Kelly! :)

Let Me Fly is my favorite. Reminds me of butter LONDON’s Victoriana.

They’re similar, but not dupes. Let Me Fly is actually less ‘dusty’ of a teal color and has a bit less shimmer. Let Me Fly seems richer and slightly more green leaning. Both are gorgeous polishes though! Just thought I’d offer my 2 cents since I have both colors.

  • I absolutely love all the Cult Nails polishes! The colors and formulas are tops AND that they’re coming from a fellow blogger makes me love them even more! Gotta support each other :D

I hopped on the sale, too and got Captivated instead of Always Winning (plus the other 7 colors Maria has created). I am very pleased with the formula and am looking forward to what Cult Nails has in store. Great swatches! :)

Now, Cruisin’ Nude makes for mannequin hands I can LOVE!
But Let Me Fly is the MUST HAVE.
That is a stunning color, and I don’t think I have anything like it.
    Thanks for the swatches!

  • I am LUSTING after Cruisin’ Nude…while it’s a neutral that hologram pop takes it to a whole new and fun level. Definately getting this.

I picked up the whole collection except Devious Nature, just because I don’t really need another pink creme, not because it’s a bad color. Let Me Fly is my favorite from the collection as well, was love at first sight. I think Cruisin’ Nude is my 2nd. Oh, also I think that Maria said that Always Winning is more of a layering color, although I’m not sure what I’d layer it over yet ;-)

I love your swatches! I got the always winning and fly polishes but I may have to order Cruisin Nude after seeing your swatch – it’s gorgeous!!!

Love to support a new little brand trying to get going. But not a fan of every shade here. I do think it’s a hit for a new small collection as it has a representative shade from some of the major love groups. Devious Nature to me looks like a dup for OPI Dim Sum Plum which I like, but prefer it’s big sister shade of I Ate Berries in the Canaries way more for me.

  • Oooh, Cruisin’ Nude and Let Me Fly are stunning! I think I’ll be ordering a polish or two from her site this weekend. ^_^
