Anastasia Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes

Anastasia Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes is an all-in-one kit for your brows.

It contains everything you would need to keep your brows in shape at home or on the go!

  • Brow wax
  • Eye shadow duo
  • Two different brow powders
  • 5 brow stencils
  • How-to guide
  • Angled synthetic brow brush
  • Handy mirror

The only thing I can think of that this kit might be missing is a tiny pair of tweezers, but really it’s pretty all inclusive. The kit comes in both a Blonde and Brunette color choice. The one I used here is the Brunette kit and even though I am fair and blond, it worked out for me (I prefer my brows a little darker).

When you open it, you see a transparent instruction guide, which is really handy. It tells you what everything in the kit is and does.

I love how the instructions are printed inside the lid of the kit so you don’t have to worry about losing them!

Wax, brow shadows, eye shadows

Two eyebrow shadows, two highlighting eye shadow colors

The brow shades are pretty nice and I think a lot of people will find them handy unless perhaps you use a red or black shade in your brows. For me the one on the left was perfect.

The eye shadows are supposed to be used as highlight color for the inner corner of your eye and/or under your brow bone. I like the shimmery peach one, but honestly I don’t really “get” the nude/pink one. I would never wear that kind of color under my brow.

The brush that is included is really good (for once)! It’s a stiff synthetic angled brush and a good size. Usually I find brushes included in kits useless but this works really well.

I decided to test out one of the stencils to see how easy (or not) it was to use. The one that actually matched my eyebrow shape pretty perfectly was called Petite Arch.

Here are the results using the lightest brow color and Petite Arch stencil.

This is my first time really using an eyebrow stencil and I was VERY surprised that it came out this nice! I think the shape fits perfectly and it looks pretty good. BUT…

I could not for the life of me get the other side to match! It was much more awkward doing my left eye, so I think that was part of the issue.

Overall:

I think the kit is a really great one, the best brow kit I have seen thus far. Beginners such as myself might find it hard to use the stencils and get your brows to match at first, but it probably takes just a bit of practice. However, you don’t have to use the stencils, you could just use everything else in it. Either way it’s pretty handy, especially for traveling!

A little pricey but a nice kit–it’s so hard to find a good stiff angled brush. I got one but it’s too soft :/. I just need the powder though, but if I ever get more into my brows other than just filling I’d want this.

      Hi Tammie,

I use the one my Benefit and LOVE it. Perfect stiffness and size. It’s also synthetic, but has a longer handle than this one.

I’ll have to check that one out, filling my brows is the only thing that I would do even if I wore no other makeup. The cheap brow powder I was using before came with a great stiff brush but now that I am using the Stila brow kit I need to use a different brush and have been using a short eyeshadow brush instead. It does the job OK but it’s no stiff angled brush…

This kit is missing 2 things: tweezers and waxing strips. Apart from that powders, stencils and angled brush seem to be great. A good handy idea…

      Hi JenMei,

Would you wax your own brows? I would be terrified I would rip 95% of them out and they would be uneven, lol!

I will never even try waxing my eye brows. But I know women who do, at home or to the beautician’s, and the result is never the same. Not to mention the times they rip off layers of skin to ending up with bad scars on their brow bone.
I stick to my good old tweezers :)

Yeah I get mine done, but would never wanna take the risk myself!

Very natural on you- I’m impressed.
Maybe the nude/pink shadow is for women with darker skintones because it’s a kit for brunettes? Although I seriously can’t imagine ANYONE “highlighting” with that color. Do you think they meant to have it be the matte version of the peach shimmer, and they just screwed up?

      Hi ReaderRita,

They describe it as a highlight color, so I’m not sure…Kinda odd!

I have always wanted to try this! So tempting!

    Andrea

love the kit congrats is a good bargain u got there.

    • June 14, 2011

      Hi Andrea,

      Yes!

  • June 14, 2011

I don’t fill in my brows – just pluck ‘em. But I can see how people who fill in their brows would really like this kit as long as the stencil suits their eyebrow shape.

    You have nice eyebrows…so well-groomed.

      Hi Mary,

Ah you are lucky. I have to because my brows are so pale and the shape is just bleh on their own. Thanks!

  • June 14, 2011

I’ve never been able to get stencils to work for me. But, when I got in there and stopped being afraid of over-plucking, I gave myself an arch and it really opened up my eye area.

      Hi Kimberly,

I wonder if I will ever be able to match them up. I am so bad at stuff when it comes to the left side of my face, haha!

Hi- I have this kit and love it! It spendy but lasts long and is worth it! I bought it when I couldnt get to her brow salon at nordstrom. She does Oprahs brows and that is how I heard about her. I wish more people would use this to tweeze their brows. Bad brows is my pet peeve :O) Love it!!

    Sass

I need something like this. I have to fill my brows in and I like using kits like this instead of just a pencil (which I use a lot). Prefer powder and brush more.

    • June 14, 2011

      Hi Sass,

I used to use pencils, but yes, they wore out so fast! Powders last forever.

  • June 14, 2011

I NEVER do anything with my brows, but when I look at this palette I feel that I need it :)
This box looks great. So many things inside and this instruction!

Yes I love the instructions, very helpful!
