Pixi Succulent Lip Twin glosses have me thinking about a time when things were much easier in life back in the 80’s.
The style of this tube and the smell immediately make me remember my wide collection of Barbie and Barbie related items!
Succulent Lip Twins are a two-sided tube that contain a lightly colored lip balm in the tube and a corresponding slightly more opaque lipstick in the cap. They are very moisturizing as well containing Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil , Shea Butter and Vitamin E.
They come in four colors (Nude Lily, Coral Camellia, Pink Peony, Poppy Red) and contain 0.42 oz in the tube and 0.07 oz in the cap.
Now about that smell. It has this plastic-y scent that a lot of those cheap glosses made for kids smelled like back in the day. But for me this is not bad at ALL, in fact I love it!
As you can see the cap twists off to reveal the opening of the tube underneath.
I like the design of these however it does have a flaw. The plastic cap that is on the lipstick end can easily dent the lipstick as you are putting it back on. Nothing major, just something to note.

I found that the lipsticks were really nice, but didn’t feel like a typical lipstick. They feel more like a lip balm with color in them. They aren’t super opaque, they leave just a hint of color and shine.
The lip balms are definitely more like a lip gloss texture. They are very liquid-y, and come out of the tube a bit messily. You also have to kind of shake them to to make sure it doesn’t get separated. I don’t love that. The color is nice, but it immediately settled into my lip lines, which I don’t like in glosses.

Pink Peony is more of a brighter pink color and I liked both the lipstick and lip balm in this one. I did still have the settling of gloss into my lip lines with this color but it wasn’t as obvious as with Coral Camellia.

I think these are a good idea and I like that you can wear them alone or layer them. I do think that the lip balm/gloss is a little thin and watery and the formula could have been better. I will probably mostly use these with the lipstick only side when I want just some moisture with a hint of color. The other drawback is the price. Once again I feel that $18.00 is overpriced for Target and I would rather pay $10-12 for these.
What do we think?
