Chanel Khaki Vert is a very beautiful kind of murky sage green creme color. It’s definitely dusty and greyed out looking and one of my favorite green polishes.

Sonia Kashuk Fatigued is also what I would classify as sage green, but it has more of a blue undertone to it, not to mention silvery/blue shimmer.

Aside from the fact that they are both different sorts of sage greens, they don’t really have anything else in common except for a general dustiness.

One has shimmer, the other is a creme. One is warmer toned the other is cooler.

As far as formula, both colors covered completely in just two coats and both felt pretty buttery and nice. I know a lot of people have issues with Chanel’s chippy formula, so there is that to consider.

Also obviously the pricing is quite different as well with Khaki Vert being $25.00 and Fatigued being just $4.99.

Verdict:

Obviously these are two very different greens, but I thought it was worth comparing side by side so people could see the differences between two murky green colors.

Winner:

I really love both of these but slightly prefer the color of Khaki Vert, but Fatigued is a very close second!

What do you think?

I agree I think the shimmer just improves the polish ten fold and the other polish just reminds me of so many others in my collection. Guess it means I can avoid that price tag on at least ONE polish :)

Kelly, was curious if I could throw out a comparison to try…. Dior Vernis Bond Street Vs Misa’s Office Polish-tics ? I have the Misa and I love it but I’ve also seen beautiful swatches of Bond Street too and am soo drawn to it. I’ve heard people say they are incredibly similar but it’s really hard to say for sure until they are side by side. And I just can’t stop myself wanting that Bond Street… but if I have a good reason not to cough up the $$ well…..

Good one, I will add to my list!

I’ve heard that Zoya Kelly is very close to the Misa color. Maybe you could make it a three-way comp?

Oooh that’s another beautiful polish that I’ve been wanting for a while too! Nice :)

Sonia Kashuk ‘Fatigued’ looks more like a dupe of Essie ‘Sew Pysched’. and i think Sephora by OPI’s ‘Caught with my Khakis Down’ looks more like a dupe of Chanel ‘Khaki Vert’. I’m very biased though because I feel that Chanel always sets the nail polish trends. lol

I also think the $OPI “Caught with my Khakis Down” might be a dupe for the Chanel.

    • Hi maryelle,

Yeah that’s what I have heard but I don’t have Sew Psyched so couldn’t compare that one!

I don’t know why but Chanel nail polishes don’t call my name really… And it’s almost impossible to find any Sonia Kashuk where I live, but I own a perfect dupe (or maybe a tad lighter) of Fatigued: it’s Catrice ~Club Tropicana LE~ and it’s called Palm Leaves.

    Hi Kelly,
Thank you for this. You read my mind. I was wanting to see how close they were.
I prefer the Fatigued because of the shimmer.

I am really liking the Fatigued.. The shimmer makes me, shall I say it? Intrigued! Get it?! LOL. Its funny because in the bottle they look like dead on dupes. For some reason I find than Chanel polishes chip terribly on me, so I tend to always look for a really close dupe. After all who wants to spend $25 on a chip fest?

  • How would you say these compare with Sephora by OPI’s Caught With My Khakis Down?

I don’t have that one, sorry!

      May 23, 2011
      • I do have it and I would say that it may be a smidgen lighter, but I couldn’t say for sure. :P Do you not purchase OPI for ethical reasons? I think I remember reading that somewhere, but I caved and got Caught With My Khakis Down and a copper glitter top-coat.

Yeah they sold to Coty, and I don’t support Coty and their brands (animal testing).

          May 24, 2011
  • And I can’t decide which one I like better…

I have Fatigued & while I like it in the bottle, I found it looked really different on my nails. It looked so much more grey than the green it was in the bottle, so I wasn’t thrilled with it. However, I threw a coat of a sheer shimmery green on top (I can’t remember which one) & it made Fatigued look amazing.

I believe Fatigued is supposed to be a dead-on dupe for RBL’s Diddy Mow.

Weren’t you supposed to compare Chanel black pearl with the new revlon pearly color? I can’t wait to see the comparison!

    May 23, 2011
    • Hi Josiane,

Still planning on it but have a ton to get through first…

      May 24, 2011
  • Kristina

Great comparison! I know someone else said this, but the Sonia Kashuk looks like Essie Sew Psyched, which is a dupe for RBL Diddy Mow. I have Diddy Mow and Sew Psyched and they are the closest match that I have in my collection!

  • HI Kelly:

I like the Fatigued and for the price of a blue Sonia Kashuk ‘Fatigued’ at < $5.00, which I like better than the more greener Chanel Khaki Vert, yet I always love the Chanel polishes. But pricing the two colors, Fatigued is five times less than Vert. which can be a factor when purchasing other colors, LOL So, Fatigued wins both in color, which I love and the price.

    Love,

    Mc Huggs :)

  • I prefer the Chanel one more. Never owned a Chanel polish, though.

I have (and absolutely LOVE) Sephora by OPI Caught With My Khakis Down, which I think looks a bit similar. (If anyone would like to see swatches and read a review, it’s on my blog.) There’s something about these kind of fatigue greens that look really chic.

  • I think of these two I prefer the warmer tones of the Chanel. I probably won’t splurge however, I’m sure there’s similar colors at much lower prices and it’s not so interesting that I need that exact one :)

Hi there VV! I was wondering if you could add to your “Vs” list: RBL – Bruised vs. Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen – Summer Plum. They seem like they could be similar to me! Thanks!! :)
