- How was your week?
My week was decent and went by kind of fast due to working from home Monday then leaving early for Doc appt Wednesday. I love breaking the week up like that, so much easier to get through!
- What do you normally eat for breakfast?
During the work week I normally have coffee then sometimes either a banana, breakfast bar (Luna) or occasionally a breakfast on an English muffin or bagel from cafeteria. Weekends I will have coffee and sometimes toast or cereal. Occasionally we make a huge breakfast or pancakes
- Whatcha wearing on your nails?

Why do I ask these questions that I can’t even answer? Ok well I love all three but it’s between music & reading. I feel like I cannot live with either but if I HAD to choose I think I would have to pick music overall.

YES, this is history and I love everything British. I took Friday off work but am having doubts I am going to be able to get up at 3:00 am to watch TV!

“My drink” is a non-fat vanilla latte, extra hot. In the summer I prefer non-fat vanilla blended iced drinks.

Night Road by Kristin Hannah and it’s really good. Reminds me a lot of Jodi Picoult. It’s a tragic story and really sucks you in because you KNOW something is going to happen, but not sure what.
- Any fun weekend activities planned?
HAIR appointment tomorrow! Can you tell I’m excited? I’ve been growing it out back into a bob shape and it’s taking an eternity. It’s been basically shapeless crap for 4 months now and I’m really hoping its long enough now. Also, I want to lighten the blond up quite a bit back to more of a light beige blond like my norm.

How was your week? Again with the nonsense at work… it’s getting a bit better, though – thank goodness!
What do you normally eat for breakfast? During the week, I’ll have coffee and oatmeal or a granola bar. On weekends, I usually have eggs and toast, cereal, or pancakes (if I feel like making them!) and coffee. Always coffee.
Whatcha wearing on your nails? Nothing at the moment. I tried out Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Laced Up until last night, and I was itching to remove them after only 3 days (I’m weird like that and can only wear polish for a day or two until I start picking at it.)
If you could only read, watch movies or listen to music for the rest of your life (can only choose one) which would you choose? Music – hands down.
Will you be watching The Royal Wedding next Friday? No, not my thing.
If you drink coffee, what’s your favorite “concoction”? My parents bought us a Keurig for Christmas, so I drink a lot of flavored coffee (most of the time black, but sometimes with a little bit of milk). I don’t really have a favorite “concoction” because I switch it up so much, but I like the skinny vanilla lattes and skinny cinnamon dolce lattes from Starbucks (which is dangerous, because there is a Starbucks two seconds away from my office at work.)
What is the last awesome thing you bought? We bought our house in January, which is pretty awesome, but all of the money is going towards that at the moment, lol. My iPhone 3G is on it’s deathbead, so I’m hoping the rumors of the white iPhone 4 coming out next week are true, because that will be the next awesome thing I’ll be buying. I really want to get the 5, but I can’t wait until fall.

1. How was your week? bittersweet, it’s my last week of classes ever since I’m done with Grad school and moving on to real life.

1.How was your week? It went by fast. It was a little busier than last week, which is a good thing. I’m not really looking forward to the rest of it, though.
2.What do you normally eat for breakfast? On weekdays, usually coffee and some sort of Powerbar variation. Sometimes cereal or oatmeal with banana and skim milk instead. If I have time on the weekend, I enjoy cooking up a more elaborate breakfast after walking my dogs.
3.Whatcha wearing on your nails? A “moonicure” with an old Loreal JetSet polish called Concorde (silver) on the moons and BB Couture Fairytale (blurple) on the rest of the nail. BB Couture polish is so full of win I can barely stand it.

My father told me when I was young to read everything that I could get my hands on. I used to read by nightlight when I was supposed to be in bed. Nothing else takes me away from reality like reading does.
5.Will you be watching The Royal Wedding next Friday? No. I’m going to be on a business trip. Although I feel like maybe I should because my mom was very pregnant with me watching Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding!

At home, it’s half flavored coffee (usually Hazelnut or Caramel) and half decaf flavored coffee (usually Vanilla) with one packet of sweetener and two tablespoons of either the Coffeemate Belgian Chocolate Toffee creamer or the International Delights Chocolate Caramel creamer. At Starbucks, it’s a half-caf non-fat Pumpkin Spice Latte (if it’s in season) or a half-caf non-fat Peppermint White Mocha.
7.What is the last awesome thing you bought? Ooo, tough one, as I’ve found myself sort of broke this year! Nothing major like a car or electronics. Probably the Wet n Wild eight color palettes or some nail polish. I finally snagged two colors from China Glaze’s Escape collection that I had a hard time finding locally and that felt pretty good, haha.
8.If your significant other were to describe their favorite three things about you they would say: that I am short (he says I’m the only short girl he’s dated); that I’m secretly more sensitive than my personality suggests; and something complimentary about my butt, haha.
9.What are you currently reading? I’m stocking up for my trip. I have Age of Innocence, The Four Feathers, and The Beautiful and The Damned. I also have A Dignified Life, about caring for people with Alzheimer’s, which my friend’s mom loaned me and I am remiss on returning. I also have the light stuff: an issue of Women’s Health, the Instyle hair issue, and the new issue of Instyle.
10.Any fun weekend activities planned? No, boo! Tomorrow I have a million things to do to get ready for my trip, and then Sunday I am flying. Two weeks across the country for trade shows, ick. I’m not looking forward to it, but I will be glad when it’s over.

1 measured cup of cereal, half high protein/high fiber, half something that tastes good. 1/2 cup cottage cheese. 2-3 cups of coffee, but I drink those over the course of the morning. I am not a morning person, so having a standard, easily put together breakfast that I don’t have to think about is comfortable for me.
3. Whatcha wearing on your nails?
Nothing right now – more yard work tomorrow. Probably China Glaze Sea Spray with Sally Hansen Silver Lining accent nails after that.

My favorite really is a really good cup of plain old brewed coffee with a dash of cream (real) and Splenda. My usual Starbucks is the “almost why bother”: tall decaf sugar free vanilla latte. What makes it “almost” is that I tell them to use whatever milk is out – it just doesn’t make that much difference.
7. What is the last awesome thing you bought?
The Butter London HRH polish I wore last week. Just an awesome purple.
8. If your significant other were to describe their favorite three things about you they would say:
She’s smart, she’s reliable, and she’s not easily intimidated.

I’m trying to catch up on my cooking magazines.

Not really – pruning the roses and cleaning up the rest of the landscaping before we go on vacation because I really don’t want to come back to that mess.
1. How was your week? My week was really slow and kinda lethargic, so I’m eager for the long weekend.
2. What do you normally eat for breakfast? Either a blueberry shake or plain yogurt with banana slices.
3. Whatcha wearing on your nails? I’m currently sporting a Wet n Wild Fast Dry in Gray’s Anatomy (3 coats). It is quite fabulous and, even though it’s a frosty shade that leans a little sheer, I would still recommend it! The duochrome effect- silver, purple, grey, green and blue – is just fab without being over the top! It is basically an exact match for the far more expensive Wicked Game by Deborah Lippmann .
4. If you could only read, watch movies or listen to music for the rest of your life (can only choose one) which would you choose? I would choose to listen to music.
5. Will you be watching The Royal Wedding next Friday? Ehhhhhh, probably not.
6. If you drink coffee, what’s your favorite “concoction”? I like frilly coffees which have more hot chocolate in them, for example, then coffee. And whipping cream. Tim Horton’s Cafe Mocha (made to order) would be a prime example. And, on a very rare occassion, Starbuck’s White Chocolate Mocha. Yum!

I got it for a fraction of the original price and it’s gorgeous and perfect for all seasons and events! And I bought it with my own money (just made it a little sweeter to have worked hard and gotten something nice.)

Again, busy busy busy. My friend/cousin came out to give me a hand with packing and we spent a few days sorting through my overly-full garage.

Nothing sweet, makes my tummy upset first thing in the morning. Otherwise it’s really whatever I’m in the mood for, I’m not above having leftovers for breakfast and breakfast for dinner and cereal for a midnight snack. I don’t have a ‘typical’ breakfast.

Naked, breaking, getting wrecked. Manual labor is no bueno for pretty nails, again

I don’t know that I’ll watch it live, even though there’s a better than average chance I’ll be awake (total night owl here). But I’ll likely DVR it, mainly because I remember vividly my Grandma watching Princess Di marry Prince Charles, her eyes were glued to the TV in her kitchen while she went about her day. This whole thing reminds me of that, also she got her hair cut like Diana’s shortly thereafter.

Well, typically I like a little coffee with my creamer, preferably a caramel creamer. I prefer sweet coffee drinks (ironically, I drink my iced tea plain, lol)
