Benefit Cha Cha Tint Swatches, Photos & Review

Benefit Cha Cha Tint Benefit Cha Cha Tint Swatches, Photos & Review

Benefit has a delicious new lip & cheek tint out for spring called Cha Cha Tint.

This beauty is a bright mango color, but don’t let the way it looks in the bottle intimidate you, it’s very easy to wear!

Benefit Cha Cha Tint on Me Benefit Cha Cha Tint Swatches, Photos & Review
Cha Cha Tint on cheeks and lips

As you can see the color is a very bright orange, and I’ll admit, I was a bit freaked out by how this would work on my fair skin. Happily, it blended into a really flattering and somewhat subtle mango color.

I like this better on the cheeks than lips which also goes for their other tint I have by them called Posie Tint (pink).

On the cheeks it gives off a nice color and looks like the color is coming from inside my skin rather than sitting on top of it. You have to blend kind of quickly because the color sets very fast, but it’s pretty easy. Oh and you WILL have a stained finger for a bit afterwards icon smile Benefit Cha Cha Tint Swatches, Photos & Review

On the lips I feel like it’s a little harder to get the color even (especially if you have notoriously dry lips like I do) and it’s a little drying. If I were to wear it on my lips I would definitely have to wear a lip conditioner over it for moisture.

Overall:

I really like the Benefit tints because they are quick and easy for summer and always help make you look alive and healthy! Cha Cha Tint is a pretty universal shade I think it looks great on fair skin and would probably look amazing on much darker skin as well.

Availability: June

Pricing: $29.00 (this product lasts forever because you don’t need much so it’s a good value to me)

What do you think? Have you used any of their other tints?

-Kelly

I’m so glad Benefit finally came out with a coral tint! Posie Tint and Benetint are pretty, but I never felt compelled to buy either. But I can definitely see myself grabbing this the next time I go to Sephora!

  • I LOVE Benetint! It is the one product I swear by (I don’t wear a lot of makeups usually); looks so natural on the cheek, and perfect if you just want natural looking lips with a bit of color (I always put lip balm on before I apply Benetint).

Agreed that a bottle goes a long way too! I’ve been using it on my cheek and lips for almost a year and I still have half a bottle left. Great value get!

  • Was this easy to apply without disturbing foundation? That is my only gripe with liquidy cheek colors….I find them hard to blend without disrupting everything else, but I love the way they look!

I second this question! Could this go under mineral foundation?

YES! I apply a little more than looks natural before applying my (fairly sheer) foundation and I LOVE the look I get (I apply a little more obviously because covering with foundation does lessen the pigmentation). It looks so natural, and like you have the most perfectly coloured, naturally rosie cheeks!

Sometimes I apply the Benetint with a little lotion as well, that gives you a little extra rub in time as it does dry pretty fast.

I’ve played with these at Toys ‘R’ Us, oh I mean Sephora – that’s what me & friends call it, but I’ve been nervous to actually try them on my face. The whole ‘staining’ aspect scares me, as I’m not sure I could blend quickly enough and would end up looking like a poorly-drawn Disney character for hours afterward. Glad to see it gives you such a natural looking flush though, maybe I’ll try that mini-sample I have of Posie Tint finally ;-)

  • I’m so glad to see a post on this because I’ve been all, “How do I make it do?”. And me being nearly transparent, I mean fair, these looked a little intimidating. I just envisioned myself making a mess. I love this color though! I’ll have to give them a looksee next time I’m at Sephora.

  • Yes! Thank you so much for reviewing this and showing what it looks like on your face. I was afraid it would be too bright also, but now I really want it! I love when blushes look like a part of your skin.

It looks like you have an allergy on your cheeks

      Gee thanks!

Do you think everyone who wears tint or blush looks like they have an allergy on their cheeks? I think it’s a very pretty, flattering color on her, especially for being so fair and it being so orange coming out of the bottle.

Tess it’s funny that you mention it… I mean, I suffer from an autoimmune disease that unfortunately gives me (on occasion) a rash that looks like that. I go the extra mile to cover it up – so I tend to be “anti-blush” no matter what. But I’m trying to learn to use some blush – hopefully not one that looks like the rash. Nowadays I use MAC Cremeblend blush in Ladyblush. Works so far :)

I think that this colour is great for VV. She pulls it off way better than I could. :)

I’ve actually never tried anything by Benefit! I’m looking for a new eye primer and have considered Lemon-Aid, but have yet to decide (I used to be an original UD Primer person, but it has been too dry and cakey looking on me lately, even though my lids are a little oily.)

But back to the Tint! I’m really drawn to the orange color and love the way it looks on your cheeks and lips. Unfortunately my one and only other cheek stain is Tarte’s Blissful, which is a warm peachy pink and looks reaaaaalllly similar applied.

I have a question for you… how do you remove it? Does it need any particular make-up remover? I ask because when I lived in the US I was fool enough to purchase a lip tint without asking this question… needless to say I couldn’t remove it with my regular products!

    April 11, 2011
    • Hi Rosanna,

The lip stain, which seems to “stick” to my skin more had mostly worn off by the time I washed my face, but usually warm water and Cerave removes everything for me.

      April 11, 2011
  • That’s perfect for your complexion. I don’t think I have any tints, just multi purpose pencils and sticks.

  • I am intrigued! I tried a lip/cheek tint years ago, I think Revlon made it, but it was too intense in its application but I’ve always wondered if a better quality one would make a difference. I don’t wear a lot of makeup and this seems like it could be used for double duty.

I used to wear Benetint back when it only had four or five ingredients. I was really bummed when they changed the formula. Its efficacy was the same, but I thought it was unnecessary to add all those extra ingredients. However, I miss that product, and this color looks like it would suit me better, so I may have to rekindle my relationship with Benefit! I’d use it solely on my cheeks though. On my lips, the tint seems to settle into the grooves of my lips and that’s not a good look.

I’m always afraid of this sinking into my pores. I do wear a primer but still worry about it looking very obvious.
