Zoya Summertime Collection for Summer 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review
And finally I bring you the last of the three new Zoya collections for summer 2011 called Sunshine.
Sunshine is comprised of six new creme colors.
- Sooki - vivid red cream
- Tamsen – brick red cream
- Arrej – lovely fuchsia cream
- Kieko – rich violet cream
- Mira – royal purple cream
- Breezi – cerulean blue cream
The formula on these was really good. Flowed nicely, good pigmentation and no problems at all, as with most Zoya’s! These were all just two coats.
Arrej
Arrej is a subdued pink cream. They describe it as a fuchsia, but it’s not really that bright and pink to me. Pretty color, nothing hugely unique about it to me though.
Kieko
Kieko is a violet cream with a reddish base. I like this one because it’s not the typical royal purple (which we will see in a second).
Mira
Mira is a blue-based royal purple. Pretty color, love the blue/purple-ishness of it, but don’t feel it’s very unique.
Tamsen
Tamsen is a bright brick red color. It almost looks the same as Sooki in these pics, but they definitely look different in the bottles and in real life. Nice color, again nothing that unique.
Breezi
Breezi is a cerulean blue. I love this color because it’s a blue with a lot of grey, so it’s NOT like Robyn at all. It’s mellow and pretty and the best one here I think.
Sooki
Sooki is a very bright red color. This is a good cool toned red, but nothing I haven’t seen before (but I do love the name SOOOOOOOOKEH!!)
Overall:
Good collection, but mostly colors that don’t seem very original. The stand-out colors are Breezi and Kieko in my book.

I’m so disappointed in these collections! I think I have colors that are really similar to all of these already, so even with the BOGO they have going on, I only ordered 4. I’m beginning to be unimpressed with these new collections, but to be honest, I’m not sure what I expect. I already have so many colors – it would be hard for them to release new ones. I would love to see some great holos, and I’d love to see more flakies. Otherwise, I feel like I’m at my max for colors like these above!
I like this collection the best, but it’s probably because I’m partial to cremes. When I saw that they’d named one Sooki, I totally heard it in my head exactly the way you wrote it, haha.

Mira looks a lot like OPI Funky Dunkey (and all its dupes).
Breezi is reminding me of Illamasqua Muse… maybe lighter/greener? Or the Barielle Bouquet for Ava (sp?) perhaps?
These are all very lovely! The only thing is I’m sure I have something in my collection to match each of these shades really well already. Sooki is amazingly bright looking though, and I like that. Thanks for posting all these swatches!
Love these cremes. IDK if I am going to purchase any though. Love the purples, but like you said, they aren’t all that unique.

Yeah, these really don’t seem very unique at all. Thanks for working so hard to get these up today so people could see them for the promo deal. I wish I would have waited for your swatches, though. I ordered 5 of the Sunshine and one from this one, Mira. Now that I see it I think it looks like China Glaze Grape Pop, which I already have.

I actually like all of these colours – I think the pink is my fave but like you say, not unique.

Soookeh is mine! Not really into the Sooki polish but I bet they’ll sell tons because of the name.

The only ones I’m interested in here are Kieko and Breezi. And it would be nice if more of these polish companies would start recognising that there are many polish fanatics who live outside of the U.S. and hence would ship to other countries & make these deals available to them as well. Obviously we would still have to pay more for the shipping. I know Zoya has an online distributor in Australia, even if they could have the same deal going on that site, although considering they charge $17 Aus a bottle I don’t buy anything from them anyway. I rely on good ol’ ebay for Zoya.

Well, I really liked Mira, even though I have ca 20 similar shades already, but I’m partial to royal purples…So I’m getting Mira, Sooki and Kieko.
I liked this collection much better than the Sunshines…but I’m a creme girl.

Hi Kelly: Love this collection except maybe as Lola AM mentioned , everything except the reds. Do you think nail lacquer manufacturers are just making “dupes” of past years collections? After reading your fan’s comments they seem to think that this collection is very similar to others, do you think that may be true?
I know Michele from ALU and others including your own gallery collection of swatches have similar shades, however, I am still loving your nail polish and how it looks on your gorgeous nails. That’s why I keep coming back for more and would love to purchase this collection, except maybe the reds, LOL

Nothing can compete with the Sunshine collection which is outstanding. Maybe Breezi is worth getting but the others are just ‘same old’.

I already ordered Breezi (for me, that’s my kind of summer color!) and Mira (for my mom, who loves cool purples) so we could go halvsies on the deal since we both only wanted one color xD. I’m glad Breezi is so pretty~

Them not being very original was why I passed on this whole collection during the BOGO. The Mod Mattes and even Sunshine just looked so much better in comparison. But, now I wish I’d gotten Sooki! I hadn’t even looked at the name! My TB watching group is going to be so disappointed in me.

Now that made me laugh! I love that show and can’t wait for it to start again. I placed my order yesterday but had a problem with it. I hope it went through. I was online with a rep who said she hadn’t got the order yet but would look for it. I ordered it all, the three collections and Gemma.
