Sonia Kashuk Blink Of An Eye Pencil Set for Spring 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review

The fun stuff from Sonia Kashuk for spring 2011 keeps on coming!
Her new Blink Of An Eye Pencil Set comes with two fat shimmering creme shadow pencils in gold and silver, as well as a metallic eye definer pencil in a deep chocolate brown.
The fat pencils have a nice, soft easy-to-apply consistency and the brown liner, while harder, goes on fairly easily and has a gorgeous gold shimmer.
The only thing I thought when I first saw these (mainly the silver and gold) was it looked like a winter collection. Silver and gold always remind me of the holidays, but there are no rules saying you can’t wear them all spring or summer long!

The silver is a very bright, white toned silver and would be perfect for the inner corner of the eye to brighten it up.
The gold is a cool-toned medium gold, very pretty.
The brown is a deep opaque color with little gold metallic sparkle.
All the pencils are on the shorter side, the creme ones are .09 oz and the brown liner is .04 oz, but for the price ($12.99) that’s a pretty good deal!
These are available exclusively at Target.
Whaddya think about these beauties?

Kelly, any chance we can see how they look on your eyes?
I would like to know if they are non-irritating, because I have had trouble with glittery pencils in the past. Thanks!
Ditto!

Yup, me too!
I really like the price and the Urban Decay eye shadow pencil dupe-ish style. I just hope they come out with more colors! I may have to buy this because I’m always looking for cool-toned, non-orange golds. Have you tried them on your lids yet? How quickly do they dry down? Is it instant or would they allow for some blending?

Hi Jessi,
I haven’t tried them on the eyes yet, but they don’t dry as fast as the UD 24/7 ones do on my hand. They seem more blendable than those also.
That’s just what I wanted to know! Thanks Kelly!

These things wear like iron! And they didn’t irritate my eyes, even on the waterline and inner corner.
Not feeling the gold and silver for spring, they feel like winter/christmas colors. They are pretty.
I agree! Although I do like the idea of using the silver in the inner corner
I wish these were more Springy

I love that eye pencil! I think gold and silver are great for spring/summer. I think about metallic sandals that go with everything. I’ve worn NARS Etrusque (a pretty gold) for three straight days.
wow I’m in love with that brown pencil!
I tend to think of Gold & Silver as christmassy, but I like gold a lot during the summer. The brown is a really rich shade.

Hmm…I’m not really into these. Maybe the silver as an inner corner highlight as you suggested, but not so much as shadows or liners. The brown liner is OK, but nothing groundbreaking to me. Sonia Kashuk has some good stuff, though. I bought her spring palette, but haven’t played with it yet.
These look really nice. I haven’t tried anything by Sonia Kashuk.
Silver is great!!!

Wow I love the brown pencil. It reminds me a little bit of MAC’S Teddy Eye Kohl, my all time favorite eye pencil. Thanks for the amazingly clear photos and swatches.
That’s the first brown pencil I’ve seen that I’d like to try – very pretty and thanks for the suggestion of the silver to brighten eyes! It looks to be a white silver which would work well.
That brown is stunning!
