Random Pooch

Spring-time for Hard Candy means a new line of blushes and bronzers called Fox In A Box.
Fox In A Box products comes in two different duo boxes (like above) and also three different quads.
These are touted as “highly pigmented multi-colored powder compacts” that blend together perfectly.
They come in a little cardboard box that I have to say is super cute. Love the colors and polka dots, though I do have a complaint.
They are packaged with the top being open, then slid into a plastic box. I assume this is so you can see the colors inside and know what you are getting (and you see the applicator brush). However, once you take it out of the plastic box the lid does NOT want to shut all the way. I think it does have a little magnet inside that us supposed to make it lock shut, but I had to force mine to stay and it kept opening.
Inside the lid of the box is a little applicator brush that slips into a little holder, which I think is a great idea. I like that better than the plastic trays like the Benefit blushes use (more on that below). However the brush itself is no good. It’s very scratchy and I just wouldn’t use it at all. But that’s not a huge deal for me, I rarely use any applicator that comes with a product anyway.
And to state the obvious, yes they are a little reminiscent of the Benefit blushes in terms of the packaging and brush. However are they as good?

Won’t you join me for some fun in the Friday poll?
Long but ok.
No I didn’t have the time to make it, but I did make it a few weeks ago!
Nothing at the moment, been swatching a lot.

Wet n Wild recently released their new Color Icon Eyeshadow Trios for spring 2011 and they are all really nice!
Actually the release might be not-so-recent by now, but I was in the hunt to get them all before I swatched them (yes I’m that anal) so here they are.
I am super impressed with these I have to say. Wet n Wild is no longer the same company as they were when I started wearing makeup with them in the glory days of 1985.
All these are so soft and pigmented. They might be on the verge of being a little too soft, because a lot of the palettes in the store were broken a bit. They are so soft they almost crumble and have a little bit more fallout than a typical shadow, but that doesn’t put me off of them at all.
As with their other recent eyeshadow palettes, these tell you exactly where to place the colors, which is great for those a little unsure or newer to makeup.
Let’s look closer.
