Zoya Bela Nail Lacquer Swatch and Giveaway!
Have you seen Black Swan yet? If not, RUN DON’T WALK to theaters! No really, it was hands down the best movie I had seen all year in 2010, I loved it. But why am I mentioning this movie in a post about Zoya nail polish? Why because this little baby was in the movie!
There is a scene where Natalie Portman is backstage in the dressing room (it’s about the Swan Lake ballet people, get with the times) and there on the table sits Zoya Bela, basking in her ballet-pink glow.

Yes indeed, she is a light pink/nude color. She’s on the sheer side, but you can build her up decently in three coats. There is a wee bit of streaking also, but nothing to go all cray cray over. *Wink wink*
If this picture below isn’t enough to get you to the theater (MAC did the makeup by the way) then I don’t know what is!

I have seen it, its very unique and beautifully filmed, fantastic!
I was honestly underwhelmed by it- bored more than anything.
I felt like we had no reason to root for Nina, and so didn’t care when things felt apart.
Saw it! I liked Inception better (as a whole) but thought the woman who played Nina’s mother was AMAZING!

I have tried going to Black Swan 3 times, but people keep cancelling on me so I have yet to see it! I’m going to just watch it by myself this weekend=]
I want to see it, but I think it will have to wait until it’s on Netflix. Haven’t had time to get to the theatre and I don’t think my fiance would want to go.
Finally saw it a few weeks ago and I thought it was great! More than anything, I enjoyed having flashbacks to my pre-teen/teen pointe days — esp when she was going through all the stretches and breaking in her new shoes (cracking the shank, scuffing the sole, wetting the satin, restitching the ribbons, etc). I’m in my mid-30s now but those scenes brought back those memories like they were yesterday!!

Natalie Portman’s acting surpassed all my expectations! I was at the edge of my seat the entire movie and I loved the grainy film in which it was shot. Had to close my eyes and cringe during the many manicure/hangnail scenes.
I am dying to see it but no one wants to see it with me! So Im gonna have to have a date with myself and go alone!! =)
I have not actually seen this film yet, though at some point I do intend to… Probably will wait for it on DVD… I have a feeling that it will be one of those movies that you have to be in a certain mood to see..
The buzz about it has intrigued me though…

The movie just came out in my country so I just have to wait till my exams are over and I’m off to the theatre. I love ballet since I was a little girl, but was always too clumsy to actually do it.

I saw it and it was beautiful, but ultimately a B-film (even though I love Cassel). The story doesn’t hold together. I think Portman isn’t the best actress in the awards races either – it’s the best acting of her career, but not of the year.
Love the color!
And the movie was wonderful! I have always been interested in the dance world and have many friends that are dancers…. the movie was soooo beautifully filmed and the storyline was actually intersting!

The movie Black Swan was great! it made me tense in my seat and close my eyes at times but it was still soooo good

I haven’t seen it yet but really want to. I haven’t had a chance because I have a little one and rarely do me and my husband get a chance to have someone watch our child so we can have a date night. I’m probably going to end up having to wait for it to come out on dvd to see it. Either way, I’ll eventually get to watch it! LOL! This IS a beautiful polish. I’ve been on the hunt for a nice milky pink that doesn’t turn bright looking once on my nails…this may be the one!
I love love loved Black Swan! I love a movie that can actually draw you in and have you only thinking about the movie the entire time. Plus Nat Portman is so gorgeous.

I saw the film. I liked it a lot. I thought that Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis were amazing. It was a really creepy movie, but in a good way. The whole Darren Aronofsky makes the whole crazyness vibe seem much more intimate, which I really liked.

Saw it and loved it. Its one of those crazy psyco movies that makes you fell a little grossed out but the story is soo good that you can’t remove yourself.

Love the nail polish color 
I saw the movie and didn’t love it because it felt like an exploitative horror film. The movie felt cheap and gimmicky to me. However, I do think that Natalie Portman did an amazing job acting her heart out. As a “fun” story, the camera work made my friend so dizzy and nauseous that he slammed his head against the door in his desperation to get out of the theatre. I didn’t even notice he was gone until I heard a loud crash. Oops!
I have only seen the trailer, because the movie itself will premiere here tomorrow (I live in the Netherlands). It looks like a good and interesting movie.
I want to seeit so badly! I’ve been trying to convince a friend to see it with me. If anything though I may just wait until it comes to nettlix. Thanks for doing this giveaway!

My date took me to see it the other night after dinner. We weren’t sure what it was going to be about, but had both heard great things about the movie. And we weren’t disappointed, it was great, and really kept us going the whole time!

I knew I had girl crushes on Portman and Kunis for a reason. I’m a huge Aronofsky fan and just HAD to see Black Swan. I loved every messed up minute of it! And I freaked when I noticed the Zoya bottle!
I loved it so so much! But I’ve also loved all of Aronofsky’s films.
I think before Black Swan The Fountain was my favourite, but now it has some competition.
With Black Swan I seriously loved the combination of beauty and ugliness in the movie. And of course, the visuals and the music are gorgeous.

I have not seen “Black Swan.” I’ve heard it’s very campy. Probably something I will rent when it comes out on dvd, but I’m not rushing to the theater. I’m a little perturbed over the real life implications this movie had for the actresses – their thinness makes me worry for their health! :/

I LOVED it. It came to theaters in MI rather late, so I didn’t see it until the end of December. I adore classical music, so it’s hard to be Tchaikovsky(unless of course, you love Dvořák =) ). And of course, Natalie is one of my favorites. I want to hug Natalie and Mila, watch the movie 67 more times and then purchase when it comes out.

i saw it and i loved it! i loved the psychological aspect of it like how you didn’t know if Nina was really seeing it or it was just in her head and the dancing was beautiful. The part where she pulled off her hangnail freaked me out though lol

I saw Black Swan with one friend and it was one of my favorite film of the year too. Natalie Portman was excellent in this movie, I wish she’ll win the Oscar for the Best actress at the end of the month. Maybe she’ll wear Bela for the ceremony

I saw Black Swan and loved it! It was grainy and dark and also sublime and enchanting, which being an artist is. The finale with Natalie dancing the Black Swan blew me away. What’s great about the film is that you feel everything Nina feels–tension and fear and shame throughout and then finally release and catharsis.
I saw the movie with some girlfriends of mine and we really liked it. I probably loved the makeup/costumes more than anything else, though!!

when i watched black swan, i saw the zoya cameo and literally shrieked with joy! lol i thought i was going crazy, but i saw on the zoya thread on fb that others saw it, so i wasn’t the only crazy one… i loved the movie! natalie portman definitely stepped her game up and deserves every award she is given. i’ve loved her ever since her movie, “the professional.”

I didn’t care for the movie but I did like the acting. I loved seeing Winona Ryder play the washed up ballerina and I think I realized I was a true nail polish fanatic during the movie when I recognized the bottle of Zoya on the table before I heard about it on the nail blogs.
I saw black swan, walking out of the theater i felt a little confused, surreal…but later that evening i loved it. I love that people can interpret the movie in so many different way. i looove the black swans eye makeup. Her teacher was super creepy so that’s amazing acting. Hands down Natalie was AMAAAZING, fab actress! not a huge fan of hers befor this movie

i can’t afford to go to the movies..i spend all of my money on finger nail polish.
Hi! Here in Portugal its not in the theater yet! So i need to w8 a little bit longer to see it! But Im sooooooooooooooooooooooooo curious to see it! I love Natalie Portman especially in the movie V for Vendetta! And i love ballet! The moves are so delicate and precise… Beautiful!
I saw the movie last week but I didn’ t find it extremely good. In my opinion, it would be much better if it was told by the main charachter, Nina. The thing I liked was the dance because I was always fascinated with that skill. But overall, I would recommend it.

I saw Black Swan it’s fantastic very dramatic and tense the film pace built up the itensity I loved it! very film noir!!!
Stunning movie! I really expected another dancer`s drama and I was shocked how good it is!!! It recreates absolutely everything that I could want from that type of movie and Nataly Portmant is gorgeous!!!

I’ve seen it…. funny story is that it took me two whole days to finally understand what i had happened.
I actually went out on a date night with my husband to see it sometime in December/early January. I was primarily interested b/c it reminded me of another psychological thriller I had seen a few years back – called “Perfect Blue” (it’s anime, but available on netflix and REALLY well done.). I liked “Perfect Blue” more but this movie was so good.

I saw the movie a month ago and loved it because of its edgy nature, excellent acting and the whole noir atmosphere. I just didn’t like the last few minutes, the end should have been different but that’s another pair of shoes

Yes, I saw it and I really liked it! The movie was so different from anything I’ve ever seen before. I love the tone and the flow and how you felt like you were taking this journey with Natalie’s character. Really great!

Yes, I saw Black Swan and I loved it!!! It was so amazing. I was so excited when i saw the Zoya polish in the film. What was even funnier was my husband was with me and he even noticed the bottle.

I haven’t seen it yet, but I keep hearing that it’s really good – I like Mila Kunis alot, she makes me laugh so much in family guy as Meg – her voice. You might want to check out another creepy movie that she’s in – American Psycho 2 – the prequel is good as well, but she’s not in that one.

“Black Swan” wasn’t as gorey as I wanted, but it immediately put me in such a creeped out mood that I wanted to run out of the theater anyway.

I personally LOVED Black Swan! I love movies that, at the end, I tilt my head and go, “Wait a minute, HUH?” (You know, Donnie Darko -esque.) It was a really unique take on the story, and very well done, in my opinion. Natalie Portman was brilliant! So sweet and innocent at the beginning, and the character evolved brilliantly throughout the movie. All in all, great movie! <3

Saw it with my dear mom and loved it so much. I wish Mila Kunis had been on the screen more, but that was really my only complaint. I also remember squealing during the scene with the polish. “That’s a Zoya bottle!” and pointing, resulting in my mother rolling her eyes quite dramatically at me XD

I loved the movie, I saw it twice and can’t wait till it’s on DVD! I really enjoyed the end, when she danced the Black Swan’s part and her arms actually looked like a swan in the shadow, and she embodied the ideals of the Black Swan, seductive and fierce! Her makeup at that point was amazing as well! It’s funny, my friends laughed when I knew the nail polish during the movie and got excited :0) Great contest…..

I loved it! I thought Natalie Portman was amazing. Especially when she “turns into” the Black Swan, it was like a totally different person emerged and it wasn’t through dialogue, but through her attitude alone. Her Oscar nomination is much deserved. I also <3 Darren Aronofsky. Requiem for a Dream is one of my favs and I loved the Wrestler.
Love this movie, Natalie Portman has been my all time favorite actress and this is why we love her even more.

I haven’t seen it yet, but I want to since I’ve been hearing such good things about it. I just watched Aronofsky’s Wrestler and liked the humanity he brought to the characters and their back stories/side stories.
I will see Black Swan, just not in the theatres! My husband has officially declared himself “not interested in such things”, and I don’t have a movie buddy to go with. As soon as it is on DVD I’ll get it though- I’m really excited, love love love Natalie Portman!
Saw it. I especially loved the symbolic use of color palette throughout the film.
I saw it recently and I thought the movie was good. I didn’t like it personally but psychological thrillers are more scary than anything and Natalie Portman’s acting was really good.
I saw it and loved it! So well done, from the story to the direction to the acting, make up and costumes! And of course big props for having Bela in there…..
I didn’t see the movie! I really wanted to because of Natalie Portman and Rodarte, but my college student budget and college student workload didn’t really allow it. in addition, the movie is scary and I don’t do well with scary!
However, I can tell you why I would have loved to have seen it! The costumes would probably be my main reason for seeing it. The costume designer (NOT just the Mulleavy sisters!) is really good and I’ve heard great things about The Wrestler, which she and the director worked on.
Natalie Portman is beautiful, as is Mila Kunis. To see those beautiful Rodarte designs and the costumes the costume designer picked out would have been amazing! Basically, it’s all about the aesthetics! I would have loved to see it for only that reason.
I haven’t seen it yet but I’m certainly going to when it’s out on blu-ray.

I REALLY REALLY want to see it; just haven’t been able to scrape together the cash yet. I danced for 20+ years and I love thrillers so this seems like the perfect movie for me.

I haven’t seen it. All the hype about Portman and Kunis dropping to like 95 lbs, and the plot aspect of cut-throat competing ballerinas kinda turned me off. Sounds like maybe this movie has more to it than the trailer or imdb lets on though.

Hi. The film was just launched in Brazil and I couldn’t see it yet. I’m eager to see it since I saw a trailer and I’ve seen the movie poster.
I saw it because I thought that the dancing and makeup would be a pleasant escape from the day to day, but this movie haunted me for weeks! It was so gorgeous, so enchanting, so dark and twisty and so multi-faceted that I kept Googling questions, reading the IMDB question boards and speculating with my friends, just trying to wrap my mind around what I had seen. I was also super amped to see the Zoya bottle, but what can I say? I’m an addict.
Under the Tuscan Sun is my favorite because I live in Tuscany now!

I have not yet seen it as I don’t go to the cinemas ever. Too many badly behaved people and claustrophobic darkness! Will definitely heck out the DVD though, if only for a Zoya spot-athon.
I really enjoyed it. I was really impressed by how well Natalie was able to shift from one personality to another so seamlessly.

I saw it and loved it. Ok, maybe I wasn’t quite as blown away as a lot of the critics have been, but I did really like it. It was beautiful to look at, too. I also spotted that bottle of Zoya in her dressing room!! That’s how you know you are a beauty product ADDICT!!!

Saw the movie and it was superb on many different levels. It’s a must see. Can’t imagine all the dance training Natalie must have gone through. That’s hard work.
Saw it and generally enjoyed it, but HATED the ending, would have preferred a more ambiguous end to match the tone of the rest of the film.
I saw Black Swan a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVED it. It’s just so weird and beautiful and UGH such a good movie.
I liked it for entertainment value, but it really pissed me off.
1. The choreography sucked. I’m sorry, no big name NYC ballet company (that’s what they wanted us to believe, yes?) would redo Swan Lake like that.
2. That’s not how a ballet company works. No one fights for parts. In fact, they all share, since if the same ballerina did the lead role every night, she’d get hurt or exhausted.
2a. Soloists are not the highest rank. Principals are. So many principal ballerinas would be sharing the role of Odette/Odlie. The only reason the soloists would even get a crack at it would be if they needed extra people for a really long run of the ballet.
3. Natalie Portman is a great actress, she is not a dancer.
4. The way the ballet master picked the people? By tapping on the shoulders? Would never happen.
So, while there are many flaws, I realize that the director must have changed things to make the movie more dramatic. Still, as a dancer, I found these elements distracting, because they conflict with how a real ballet company would handle things. I would have liked this a lot more if it had been true to life or if I wasn’t a dancer.
I think I might see it since there is so much hype. Although, if it’s like Requiem for a Dream, I don’t think I could sit through it

I really loved this movie because of the costumes and makeup. The softness of the dancers clothes and makeup most of the movie contrasted with the dark moments really well. I need to watch it again though, I feel like I’ll see stuff I didn’t notice before

Well I originally thought it was going to be a nice ballet movie. I WAS WRONG. The trailer freaked me out, so i waiting for it to come out on dvd so i can pause and prepare myself for a different type of ballet movie…
I LOVED Black Swan. I’m going to watch it probably another 3 times once it comes out on disc and really analyze all the little details in it – really a rich film full of space for interpretation and discovery. Also a very pretty pink polish that needs to make my nails girly

I think my favourite part was when the creepy guy who’s the head of the ballet company asked her hot dance partner if he wanted to sleep with her… I thought it was cute (although maybe a teensy bit awkward) when she used that line from the movie in her Golden Globes acceptance speech! The whole movie was great, it really messed with my head… in a good way!
I want to go see it but no one would go with me. :-/ I haven’t seen a psychological thriller movie like that in the past few years.

Unfortunately I haven’t had much opportunity to go to the movies in the last few months, I got married, went on my honeymoon and moved to Japan. It’s been an exciting few months but has left little time and money for things like that.

The movie was unlike any move I had ever seen. Many parts of it were difficult to watch, but it’s the kind of movie you can’t stop thinking about for days after you see it. I thought it was very well done, from the acting to the costumes and makeup. And loved the dancing.The whole thing blew me away. Zoya Bela definitely makes me think of an innocent prima ballerina! Love the color.

I haven’t seen Black Swan yet, but I will when it comes out on DVD. I rarely ever go to traditional theaters, but I love drive-ins. Unfortunately, they’re only open in warm weather, so I can’t see theater movies in the winter. Coincidentally, I have been eying this very polish!

I’m seeing it this weekend and I can’t wait! I love both Natalie Portman & Mila Kunis and I’ve heard amazing things about the movie.
