Wet n Wild 8 Eyeshadow Palettes Swatches, Photos & Review

In case you have been living on Mars lately, Wet n Wild recently came out with some new eyeshadow palettes, each with 8 colors. I call ‘em Wet n Wild 8 Eyeshadow Palettes. Original, no?

The palette names are Comfort Zone (neutrals/greens/browns), Petal Pusher (pinks/purples/reds) and Blue Had Me At Hello (silvers/blues/blacks).

All of the palettes have 2 browbone highlights, 2 eyelid colors, 2 crease colors and 2 define (liner) colors.

Let’s take a peek inside!

Comfort Zone left side

1st: shimmery pale champagne/gold for highlighting
2nd: shimmery opaque copper/pink for eyelid
3rd: medium shimmery bronze/gold for crease
4th: dark reddish brown with copper glitter for defining

All of these colors were very soft and opaque. I was most surprised at the dark one, I didn’t expect it to be this amazing!

I love the two in the middle, I am so into these metallic metal colors right now.

Comfort Zone right side

1st: shimmery pale taupe/gold for highlighting
2nd: shimmery olive green for eyelid
3rd: dark greenish brown with gold glitter for crease
4th: dark red/brown/plum duochrome color for defining

These were all really nice as well. The duochrome one is pretty cool looking, but perhaps not as opaque as some of the others.

1st: pale white/pink with minor shimmer for highlighting
2nd: pale lavender for eyelid
3rd: medium shimmery grape purple for crease
4th: medium lavender/purple with glitter for defining

The first two in this palette were not as opaque as I had hoped. The first one does make a nice highlight because it’s not TOO shimmery, but I wasn’t thrilled with the 2nd lavender color because it was so sheer.

Petal Pusher right side

1st: shimmery candy pink for highlighting
2nd: red/plum with glitter for eyelid
3rd: dark reddish black with red glitter for crease
4th: black with silver glitter for defining

Three of these four were more opaque than the left side, which is great. The only patchy one really was the 2nd red color. The last one is a wee bit patchy, but not too bad. I love the third one, so opaque!

1st: shimmery pale silver for highlighting
2nd: medium silver/blue for eyelid
3rd: dark navy blue with light blue glitter for crease
4th: black matte for defining

Here the most opaque colors re the 2nd and 3rd ones. Amazing pigmentation here! The last one was very patchy and not that great for me.

Wet n Wild Blue Had Me At Hello Palette Swatch3
Blue Had Me At Hello right side

1st: pale blue for highlighting
2nd: shimmery green/blue for eyelid
3rd: deep blue shimmer for crease
4th: black matte with silver glitter for crease

Wow for the middle colors again, just gorgeous! The last one, which looked in the pan totally amazing, didn’t turn out that great.

Overall:

Love all of these! I think my favorite one and the best overall is Comfort Zone. The colors in it are definitely the most opaque and you get more bang for your buck that way. I do like the others also, but don’t love all the colors inside. I think the mattes tend to be chalky and patchy, so they need to work on those.

Availability: Drug stores (Walgreens)

Pricing: $5.00

What do you think about these palettes? Have you been able to find them?

Oh and count yourself lucky if you are reading this because I’m giving you actual READERS the inside scoop: there will be a giveaway soon!! :)

Man, I love these. Thanks for the review and swatches! I’ve had my eye out for Comfort Zone, but now think the others would be awesome.

Actually, you just reminded me that I picked up a few of the trio palettes and haven’t even tried them! Thanks for that, too. :D

I bought the last COMFORT ZONE I can find at a Walgreen like 2 or 3 weeks ago. I love the colors and the price. :D I haven’t use them yet, but I love them. :)

Oddly enough I’m wearing Comfort Zone TODAY!! I love all the colors from their collection and you just CAN’T beat the price. Well unless it’s free :-)

It took me forever to hunt down the 3 shadow palettes, now I’m going to have to look for these as well, great colors and payoff! I’ve been pretty impressed with WnW’s quality lately, they really seem to be stepping things up. Oh, and for the record, I *read* your posts ;-) I guess some people just come for the pretty pictures, I come for both!

My understanding is that the 8-pan palettes will only be sold at Walgreens and select Walmarts (i.e. Walmarts that already carry the whole WnW line). I live in the home of Walgreens and not all of our locations have them in stock on the new wall units yet. The ones that do have them have only gotten 2 of each color in each shipment. Hopefully that changes soon. HTH

Wet n Wild was the very first brand I bought when I was a young teenager. I find it funny that I’m digging them again at 36!

I really like the top one. All the colors are really pretty and wearable for me.

  • February 24, 2011

Ok, I love how they put crease, definer, etc on the shadows…for lame people like me that haven’t used eye shadow in forever!

I’m really liking all of them and may have to snap them all up.

Also saw you posted the Oke Doke stuff. I bought the polishes a month ago and didn’t bother to swatch them yet. I had to get Purple Nerple because of the name alone. I remember giving and getting purple nerples in the schoolyard way back in the day. Oh us silly Catholic school girls. LOL

I’ve been going back and forth on these, they look so good in the swatches. I might eventually pick up comfort zone, that looks the most wearable.

I guess I’m going to have to go to and visit Walmart and hope they have some of these palettes in stock and hope that some jerk didn’t poke their nasty little fingers into all of them!!
I wish the drugstores still stocked WnW :(

Hi. These are pretty and economical… Regarding your last photo of Comfort Zone the right side, that looks just like the color in my Lorac 3d palette from Sephora… Is that the case? Thx!

    • February 26, 2011

      Hi Kristina,

Yes it definitely does look very similar to that LORAC one

  • February 26, 2011

I loved these, specially the blue one, even though blue looks kind of bad on me lol!

I have all three of these pallettes and I love them! I have worn the Comfort Zone colors for the last two days. and they are so impressive! If you put some of the darker colors on top of a black base (ie:NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Black Bean) the glitter/duochrome/shimmer, etc, will show so much more. You should try it!

Awww… I’ve had my eye on Comfort Zone from a friend of mine reselling stuff her husband bought for her at Walgreens and CVS placed with their package of can goods and other stuff sent for their family here in the Philippines, and when I was going to buy it, poof! It was gone! Someone had already bought it! Hope it becomes available soon as I loved the colors. They were mostly neutral and easy to work with even if you’re just going for a natural day look.
