Benefit New Ultra Shines Lip Shine in Kiss You & Life On The A List
It’s official. I am a Benefit Ultra Lip Shine junkie, and with the new five new colors colors they have out for spring, I might have to make more space in my lipgloss drawer to accommodate them.
What I love about Ultra Lip Shines are that they are pigmented, very glossy, moisturizing, last a decent amount of time and smell lightly fruity. They also look really good layered over a matching colored lipstick if you want slightly more pigmentation.
I’m also a fan of the newer (as of the last 6 months or so) tube shape and design. It’s feels weighty and nice in my hand, which I always associate with higher end products. Maybe I’m just a wack-a-doo 
Life On The A List, Kiss You
Life On The A List
Life On The A List is a light ballet pink with shimmer. These kind of pinks are my “go-to” colors for lip gloss, I wear them the vast majority of the time. They pretty much go with everything, and you can’t really go wrong. This is a lovely color. The only thing I didn’t love about it is that it does settle a bit into lip lines, but not like some (cough, MAC, cough) glosses can, so it doesn’t matter that much to me.
Kiss You
Kiss You is a pretty orchid purple with pink shimmer. If I am not wearing a pink lip gloss, I am wearing a purple. I gravitate towards purple anything, and since purple is usually a very cool color, I can pretty much wear any shade of it. I love this because the purple is nice and pigmented, it actually shows up on the lips as purple, rather than clear with just a hint of purple. Love it!
Overall:
Hmm what’s not to love? I like these so much I already have five of the other colors, so I can’t really say anything negative about ‘em! Ok maybe the price is a little steep. There I found something

I like how it looks….doesn’t look overly “wet” and the smell is light, which is good since the strong smelling ones don’t sit well with me. I’ll have to check it out in store.

So pretty! I love an easy to wear gloss, as I tend to be running late and throwing my lip gloss on in the car, it helps if it’s a color I don’t have to be too precise about. These would both fit the bill. (Don’t worry, I usually wait until I’m at a stop light to gloss up

R.I.P “The Gloss” in “Kiss Me”- which was a million times more beautiful than “Kiss You.” I don’t think I will ever forgive Benefit for getting rid of my favorite lip gloss of all time. Still, I wear “Kiss You” because it’s all I have. BTW- if you’re looking for more color, “Up The Amp” lipstick by MAC is a delightfully pretty purple.
They look really nice. If I get I chance, I might try them out.

I completely agree with Jess – I’ve had a hard time forgiving Benefit for reformulating and repackaging their glosses. The Her Glossiness A-List line was absolutely phenomenal and I was hooked on the original Life on the A List, Who Are You Wearing, and V.I.P. I tried the new formula and had to return them, which is something I never do.
But, glad you like them.
