On Wednesday I went to The Fairmont Hotel for the first time (!!) ever in San Francisco for high tea with a friend. We had done high tea at The Ritz in SF before, and wanted to try something new. This hotel was made famous in the 1980′s by Aaron Spelling because it was featured in his night-time soap opera, Hotel. I used to watch that (along with Dynasty and Knot’s Landing) 
It’s been a serious flurry of MAC-ness lately hasn’t it? Well I’ve got one more collection for ya for 2010!
MAC Stylishly Yours is a bright colorful collection created in order to give some “oopmh” into your modern life.
While the colors look extremely bright and perhaps a little extreme in the containers, I found most of them surprisingly wearable and more subdued on the skin.
I am getting a strong “Mad Men” vibe from this collection for some reason, I think it’s from the fabulous lipsticks.

Now for the finale of the MAC Cham Pale posts, the two new nail lacquer colors which are: Very Important Platinum and Soirée.

MAC Cham Pale has entered the building! Cham Pale is a new fairly large-ish collection (though nothing compared to Venomous Villains) for winter 2011.
It features a variety of new (and some old) products that span the shimmery nude/pink/peach color range.
Interestingly I was SO interested in this when I first saw promo shots, which is very much unlike me. Normally I like a little more color in my life, but this collection spoke to me right away.
I think it’s because of the shimmer involved. These aren’t boring nude eyeshadows and glosses that just disappear into the skin upon application. They are metallic and sparkly and that will get me every time!
