Happy Tuesday!

During one of my many recent Walmart excursions I came across these Hard Candy Hide & Glow Cheek Duo Cheek Tints and HAD to try them.

What are these you ask? They are a two sided tube containing two different but corresponding gel-based cheek colors on each end. The cheek tint is in twist-up stick form.

What I love about these are first of all the packaging. I happen to like all the colors on each end, so getting a two-for-one deal works for me.

I also love that since they are pretty much non-breakable, you can pop ‘em into your bag and not worry about it.

The texture of these is nice, they feel pretty creamy, not waxy, and go on smoothly with good color payoff. They downside is they do have a slight “wet” feel to them, but you don’t notice it unless you are actually touching your cheeks. It just kind of feels like it sits on top of your skin rather than sinking in. They are basically completely unscented as well.

These do last on me at least a good 10 hours before fading, which is really excellent.

I may have found my holy grail foundation in Dior Capture Totale Foundation. I kind of wish I hadn’t because of the price though!

Capture Totale is a line by Dior aimed towards “aging” skin. The line features quite a range of products including a range of serums, day creme, night creme, eye creme, powder, foundation, etc.

This is my first venture with any Dior foundation and boy did I luck out! The only reason I bought this was because I was wanting to try a really high-end foundation and I had a 20% off discount at Sephora that was burning a hole in my in-box.

I also totally lucked out with choosing the exact color for my skin tone (Light Beige 020).

So what is all the hype about Capture Totale Foundation you ask? Well it contains a blend of anti-aging ingredients which include Alpha-Longoza and Centuline, optical correctors, and HD liquid crystal pigments.

They claim “This revolutionary formula works, in part, thanks to a broad band of multi-toned pigments that create a more subtle, real, and natural effect than the four-part pigment palette (red/yellow/white/black) usually used in foundation.”

It’s ideal for aging, dull or dry skin because it helps to boost collagen and plumps up the skin. It also contains an SPF of 15, which is great.

The cats were surprisingly good this year with the tree. They barely touched it at all. However as soon as the packages come out (which we can’t put out until Xmas morning because of them) they are obsessed with the ribbons

Chanel’s new Les Perles de Chanel Le Vernis for spring 2011 features three new limited edition colors, two of which I felt I *needed* to possess.

I thought since these were labeled with the term “pearl” I needed to fancy up my main photo of them so I added a (fake) pearl necklace and some (real) pearl earrings Mr. VV got me for Christmas.

The three colors are:

• Pearl Drop
• Black Pearl
• Péche Nacrée
