Pixi Winter Makeup Eyes Palette for Holiday at Target

Pixi Winter Makeup Eyes Palette is a great, inexpensive gift idea (perhaps for yourself?) and is currently available at Target stores.
This little beauty comes in a pretty little green case and opens to an array of 12 shimmery, cool toned eyeshadow colors.
I’m also kind of loving the little Pixi logo on the inside mirror.

The shadows in this palette felt pretty soft, but a few of them were pretty sheer. Even the darker looking colors didn’t come off quite as pigmented as I had hoped for.
But that’s not to say they aren’t pretty. I just think they would suit someone who doesn’t want MAJOR color on their lids. They would work for a more conservative or subtle look very nicely.

First row
First up is a pale eggshell white. Next is a light buttercup yellow. Then a very pale champagne/peach and finally a matte apricot.

Second row
First is a very light silvery lavender. Then a pale cotton candy pink. Next a light babydoll pink and then a medium purple.

Third row
First is a VERY light celadon green. Then a medium vivid blue/green. Next is a pale cornflower blue and finally a medium greyish/purple.
Overall:
I think it’s a nice cute palette, but not for someone looking for major color saturation. This would be well suited to those who want something more subtle or maybe are just testing out “colors” other than neutrals. For the price, it’s nice!

Would this make a good stocking stuffer for someone you know?

Pretty! Thank you for showing us this
Hi Dawn,
Welcome!
I think if I had a friend who likes lighter/sheer shadows, this one would be for them. But, it’s too sheer for me. Too bad, because I think the packaging is cute.

Hi Kimberly,
I agree, too pale for me also!
Finally a palette I can get behind! I think this one would work for me. Too bad I don’t have Target.
Makes me sad I don’t have a Target nearby – these colours are much more along the lines of the sorts of things I wear on a day-to-day basis. I work in a toy store, not really an environment for really heavy or dramatic makeup, since it tends to make the kids confused (“maam, are you going on a date tonight?!”) and the geeky middle-aged men nervous XD

This would be great for my sister who always wanna use my makeup.

That’s actually a really good price for what you get!

It might be too sheer for me but I think I’m going to pick this up. Can’t beat that price. I’ll figure out how to use it somehow.
Pretty colors, quite sheer though. I saw these at Target last time I was there, but I was just picking up medicine and didn’t have any energy to actually shop. Maybe I’ll peek at their offerings next time I venture in. Oddly, the matte peachy apricot is the color that I like the most, never would have guessed that one.
My favorite thing about this palette is the cherry blossom (or whatever flower that is) print on the front. :p The pigmentation is subpar, to say the least… Fair review!
Aw, man! I wish we had Target stores up here in Canada!! I’d totally pick this up. I LOVE eye-popping colours, but I’m way too self-conscious to wear them
This would be perfect for me! Oh well, maybe in a few weeks it’ll be on eBay
