Milani Marbleized Baked Eyeshadow Swatches & Review

Milani Baked Eyeshadow2 Milani Marbleized Baked Eyeshadow Swatches & Review

Whilst perusing through my local CVS recently, I came across a display of a new product by Milani: Baked Eyeshadows. They come in a variety of colors and have regular and marbleized versions.

They all looked nice, but the marbleized ones especially caught my attention because the colors looked SO amazing and pigmented. I couldn’t resist, so I picked up a few.

I have to say I very pretty impressed with the pigmentation with all of these. They are very pigmented and even dry, look really good. They feel very soft and easy to work with.

Together 4Ever, Mélange, Mingling, Mix It Up (Dry)

You can see the colors even dry are really nice and have good payoff. What I also love is that you can actually see the glitter come through after applying, which often isn’t the case.

The least pigmented is probably Mix It Up, but for as dark as it is, it’s not bad.

Together 4Ever, Mélange, Mingling, Mix It Up (Wet)

Using them wet makes them more intense and saturated. I think I prefer them wet because with Melange and Mix It Up you can see the glitter even more! Mix It Up totally reminds me of China Glaze Blk-Bila-Bong icon smile Milani Marbleized Baked Eyeshadow Swatches & Review

Overall:

Fabulous! I think these are really nice eyeshadows and you get excellent payoff. The colors are all ones I would wear and I think are fun and unique. The price is pretty good also at $6.99 each.

Tell me what you think about these beauties!

Do you have any MAC mineralized eyeshadows? How do you think these compare ?

    December 18, 2010
    • Hi April,

Yes I do have some of the super glittery ones from MAC. Since I haven’t yet worn these on the eye it’s hard to compare that way, but I can say these seem more pigmented dry than a lot of the MAC ones I have. Also there seems to be less glittery fallout, and obviously they are cheaper. Using them wet they seem more on par with each other though. Hope that helps!

These are nicely pigmented. Good to know there are drugstore brands that are workable.

I’m (hopefully) going to be making a shopping run in a bit, I might have to check these out, I really like Together 4Ever. Of course, I’ve recently make 2 large Aromaleigh orders, a rather large Meow order and just got my last Sephora order a couple of days ago (Happy Christmas to me!), not sure I can justify more shadows…. well, one or two won’t kill me, right?
Is there such a thing as too much makeup? I certainly have more than I’d probably ever be able to use in my entire life, but I keep buying more.
These look so pretty, when I saw the first picture, before clicking to read the whole post, I said out loud ‘Oooh, pretty’.
Yes, I sometimes talk to myself, no worries, I don’t often answer myself ;-)

Just back from a CVS run. Grabbed up Together 4Ever (along with the only Milani one coat glitter they had, Blue Flash, looks like a hunt is in my future). Oh, and swiped the 2 bottles of Revlon’s Perplex that they had left too – insert maniacal laugh here – yes, I’m greedy when it comes to polish.

Silly question. How do you go about using these shadows wet? Just wet a regular brush and apply the same way as you would dry?
