MAC Cham Pale Nail Lacquer: Very Important Platinum & Soiree Swatches & Review
Now for the finale of the MAC Cham Pale posts, the two new nail lacquer colors which are: Very Important Platinum and Soirée.
Very Important Platinum
Very Important Platinum is a deep grey/silver metallic shimmer with a frosty finish. This one is a little too frosty for my tastes to be honest. Not only that, it applies fairly streaky so as you can see, it’s very hard to get a nice even finish. I used three coats here for maximum color depth. This is one to skip in my opinion.
Soirée
Soirée is a rose colored copper metallic shimmer. They label this one as a frost also, but to me it’s more of a foil finish. I love rose gold and rose coppery colors and I really like this one a lot. It went on very evenly, no streaking to be had, and it’s totally opaque in two coats. THIS is a keeper. 
These will be available starting December 26th in North America and in January for International folks. They retail for $13.00
What do you think about these, are they a hit or miss?

I hear many people are annoyed with Very Important Platinum for the reasons you mentioned. Soiree is so lovely though!
These remind me a lot of my recent purchases..Rococco Metal Jacket, Sephora by OPI Already Famous, Dior Aztec Chocolate. I’ll be checking these out, tho i shouldn’t be.
Soirée is a hit and Very Important Platinum is definitely a miss :/
Very important platinum looks alittle like chanel’s Black Pearl and Soiree looks like the same finish as Mac’s Bad Fairy. To bad VIP is frosty but pretty though. I really do like Soiree.

I’m def gonna get Soiree n/p, along with Chez Chez Lame powder and I get no Kicks from Cham Pale

Meh. I’ve mostly had Meh reactions to MAC polishes, except for one that IIRC was almost a dupe for Hard Candy Beetle….I guess I can’t have rabid love for everything in their line (like I do for their lipstick, for example….)

How similar is Soiree to Orly FoilFX Rage? I love rose-gold foils, but if they’re very similar I’m not sure I’d need to grab this.

Very Important Platinum is a definite miss, but I’ll definitely check out Soirée once it arrives at my MAC counter
soiree seems similar to Revlon’s “Copper Penny”…VV what do you think?

Oddly enough, I really like Very Important Platinum! I do like Soiree and I like rose gold, but it’s not a flattering thing on me. Boo…I always seem to love colors that look horrid on me…except Paradoxal.

Someone already mentioned what I was thinking about Soiree, that it looks like it may be similar to Orly Rage, which I already have. I’ll be passing on VIPlatinum as well.

Hello Autoxchica, I swatched Soiree at a Mac counter this evening and then went home and then swatched Orly Rage on another finger. Soiree is a touch more coppery. In some lights they do look almost the same. I’m debating if I should still get the Mac one…….. It is very pretty
