Hard Candy Hide and Glow Cheek Duo Cheek Tint Review

Hard Candy Hide Glow Cheek Hard Candy Hide and Glow Cheek Duo Cheek Tint Review

Happy Tuesday!

During one of my many recent Walmart excursions I came across these Hard Candy Hide & Glow Cheek Duo Cheek Tints and HAD to try them.

What are these you ask? They are a two sided tube containing two different but corresponding gel-based cheek colors on each end. The cheek tint is in twist-up stick form.

What I love about these are first of all the packaging. I happen to like all the colors on each end, so getting a two-for-one deal works for me.

I also love that since they are pretty much non-breakable, you can pop ‘em into your bag and not worry about it.

The texture of these is nice, they feel pretty creamy, not waxy, and go on smoothly with good color payoff. They downside is they do have a slight “wet” feel to them, but you don’t notice it unless you are actually touching your cheeks. It just kind of feels like it sits on top of your skin rather than sinking in. They are basically completely unscented as well.

These do last on me at least a good 10 hours before fading, which is really excellent.

This is the pinkest of the three featuring a bright pink on one end and then a lighter peachy pink on the other end. This is my favorite combo right here. The bright pink shows up really nicely on my fair skin and the peachy pink you could use as a shimmery highlight.

This is the warmest colored duo. On one end is a medium orange/peach color and the other is a light apricot color. These both work really well on my skin tone as well because they are more on the peach side (think NARS Orgasm) than orange. Both are fairly subtle and very pretty.

This is a set featuring a bright cherry red on one end and a deeper red on the other. As you can see from my swatches though, they don’t look as bright once applied as they do in the tube. They are both very wearable. This is my least favorite of the three just because I don’t often wear reddish colored blushes on my cheeks.

Overall:

For $6.00 I think these are a good deal since you are getting two colors in each one. They last a long time, are nice colors and I love the packaging.

What do you think about these, have you tried them?

I really like ‘In Love’! Especially the lighter shade…I might just have to check these out! :)

  • I almost got In Love last time I was at Walmart, but I hesitated because I thought it might feel too sticky on my cheeks. I hate products I can feel when I smile, you know? I think I’ll get it after all – great review!

I’d really like to get In Love, but my Wal Mart doesn’t have Hard Candy stuff.

  • These would be great to keep in my desk drawer at work or in my makeup bag to refresh my blush at the end of the day if I’m going out. You’ve been making me reconsider Hard Candy and take a trip to my chaotic Walmart.

  • Those are pretty. I never am near a Walmart but if I am, I’d check these out for sure.

I’m really liking Pillow Talk – would be great to carry in your handbag! Thanks for the review!

The colors are really gorgeous, but I’d probably opt out simply because I have such oily skin. These look like they’d just ssssllllide right off of my face. C’mon Hard Candy- make a powder version! (or creme to powder…)

  • If I didn’t have oily skin, I’d probably try this.

My Walmart hasn’t had a single one of these Hard Candy things you’ve featured recently! I want the “Beetle” nail polish so badly, too! The West coast must get things so much earlier than we do here in the South. Grumble!

I picked up 2 of the 3 a few weeks ago ( hot date and in love) along with the honeymoon baked blush and I loooove them!!! I used to use Tarte cheek stain, but this stuff is cheaper and not sticky, like Tarte is. Also got Glamazon glossy lip pencil, which was also a nice surprise.

I have noticed though, that the Hard Candy area at my Walmart is always near empty and whatever is left has been turned upside down. I kinda wish they had this line at Target instead.

P.S. Kelly, I just wanted you to know you are my cosmetics guru!!! I bought the Hard Candy primer, upon your recommendation ( and after spending ridiculous amounts of money on so many other and more expensively crappy primers), and it was a revelation in a tube!! Thank you!

Aaaand are we going to get November and December favorites vid? I so look forward to those!

Oh! I’m adding to the love for these. The first combo is my favorite. Alas, no Walmart near me…

Pillow talk is looking like the one I might try…although if it feels wet on the cheek I’m not sure I would love it….contemplating!! Thanks for the great reviews!

These look nice. I don’t usually wear cremes or gels on my cheeks. I have large pores and they seem to sink right in them.
