Hard Candy Eye Def Glitter Eye Cream Swatches & Review
Happy Tuesday afternoon to ya!
If I seem more chipper than usual, it’s probably because all play and no work makes Kelly a happy blogger 
Anyway, remember awhile back when I got some of the Hard Candy Eye Def glitter creams and really liked them? Well I couldn’t NOT get the rest of them next time I saw ‘em because they were too cool to pass up.
The final colors I purchased are:
- Algae – Mossy green
- Lagoon – Deep blue
- Pool Boy – Light blue with green glitter
- Robot – Silver
- Sprinkles – Bright fuchsia pink
- Ditch – Deep coppery/gold
So now I own all eight colors and am a happy camper!
I’ve mentioned before that these come in a test tube-like plastic container, and have a long doe-foot applicator. I find it easier to put the product in my finger or a small brush rather than use the applicator because it’s a bit long for my tastes.
The product itself is wet and super glittery, then dries to a cream finish. It doesn’t really feel gritty much at all once it’s dried, and it dries really fast. That is the one thing about it that can be a negative, you have to work quickly to get it where you want because it dries so quick.
There isn’t much fallout (if any) since the glitter is suspended in the cream, and you can definitely see the glitter once it’s dried.
They last all day over a eyeshadow base (like Too Faced Shadow Insurance) and come off easily with warm water and cleanser.
Algae, Lagoon, Pool Boy
These three just completely knock my socks off! The colors are so amazingly pretty and they are all super saturated.
I especially love Pool Boy because it’s not just light blue, it’s light blue with green glitter which adds this really cool look to it.
Robot, Sprinkles, Ditch
I wasn’t all that impressed with Robot. Of all the ones I tried this came out little more watery and less pigmented than the others for some reason. Maybe it’s just a bad tube.
Sprinkles is amazingly bright and fun and Ditch is a beautiful warm, kind of more neutral color.
Overall:
I personally love these for a few reasons. The colors are really pretty, the price is right, and I love glitter when you don’t have to worry about fallout!

Odd coincidence, I have a Hard Candy post scheduled to go up today too- just tried their new makeup line for the first time and wasn’t impressed at all. Now how funny is it that I’m dying to get these? lol I can’t make up my mind. But, SPRINKLES. omg. It is screaming my name.

I have yet to try a lot of their new stuff, but some of it I am totally loving!!
My tube of Robot was like that as well. I found these to be somewhat patchy and gritty for me with application. Maybe I’m not doing it right??

Pool Boy is gorgeous! These I like the looks of. I just read Scrangie’s post about the other Hard Candy makeup. They look like crap. These are lovely.

Aaah, now I’m going to have to get myself to Walmart and check for these at some point. I loved the 2 in your first post, and I love the first 3 here as well (actually, the pink is fantastic too, but I’m not sure I could pull it off, I’d be interested to see how it applies on the eye). I agree that Pool Boy is the clear stand out here, gorgeous!
I want to like these, as they look really pretty, but I just can’t pull off glitter anymore. Back when my hair was flaming pink – probably.

I’m so glad you reviewed these! I literally just saw them at Walmart earlier today and almost bought one. I might have to go back and snatch the dark purple one.

My husband is on to me…if I don’t ditch him in that corner of Walmart he catches me loitering in front of the Hard Candy display and says “Hey! Get awaaaay from that……”
But I’ll get mine….I already told him that his penalty for dragging me to the 55 miles away mall two days before Christmas was a trip to Ulta AND Sally….he promised not to edit my purchases. Gearing up for a haul tomorrow, y’all!

I love the intensity of Algae, Lagoon, Pool Boy… but I don’t usually have luck with eye creams.
