Sephora Ultra Vinyl Lip Pencil Swatches & Review

Sephora has these nifty little Ultra Vinyl Lip Pencils out in a variety of colors and since I have been on a lip pencil kick lately (see here and here), I decided to pick up a few with the F&F sale they recently had.
I haven’t tried that many Sephora brand products and I’m not sure why. I think I assume they are “lesser” quality because they are the store’s own brand, but clearly that doesn’t always ring true.
These babies are jumbo sized pencils that are a cross between a lipstick and a lip gloss. Oh also of course it’s kind of a lip liner as well since they are pencils and easy to control.
They have the opacity and coverage of a lipstick, but leave a nice shiny finish like a lip gloss. They are very smooth going on and feel very moisturizing.
Currently they offer eight different colors.

Gorgeous Peach

Gorgeous Peach
Gorgeous Peach is a peachy pink color with pink shimmer. You can see the color here is on the more neutral or natural side. It’s not anything over the top or really that interesting to me. In fact I was a little disappointed with this color on my skin, I felt it was a little “blah”. That’s not to say it’s not a good color but I don’t think it looks good on me.

Fuchsia Fever

Fuchsia Fever
Fuchsia Fever is a really bright yet deep fuchsia pink with pink shimmer. Now this is more my color! This one is really opaque and ultra-pink and glossy. I just love it and anyone who loves bright pinks will also.

L to R: Fuchsia Fever, Gorgeous Peach
Overall:
I definitely recommend these even though Gorgeous Peach wasn’t great for me. They only downside I see to these is that with pencils you do have to sharpen them which makes the product seem to disappear quicker. Also they are $12.00 each, which isn’t super expensive but I wish they were more like $8.00.
ALERT: Sephora VIB sale is going now until Nov 15th so if you want to try them you can get 20% off with check-out code VIB20. I’m curious to check out Vinyl Raspberry which is a deep shimmery pink and Fancy Red which is a shimmery rich red.

How do you feel about these colors and would you wear a pink as bright as Fuchsia Fever?

I like the first one the most but they are both pretty. Thanks for the swatches.
Great, I really like those lip pencil kind of thing – always very comfortable to use and easy to control. Like the smaller tip of them compared to a lipstick.
The pink is amazing!

Gorgeous peach is more my vibe. But if you like the fuchsia one, more power to ya!!!
Oh! These look nice. I would wear the bright Fuschia Fever, definitely! I would probably keep the rest of my look very simple. No blush, maybe just highlighter & sparkly ivory/nude eyeshadow & nice black mascara.
I love the Sephora lip colors, but I’m allergic to every one I use!
I’ve had to stop buying their lip stuff, or else get nasty rough patches all over my lips. The pencils are so pretty, though!
Lovely! I have their OPI x Sephora nail polish and I really love it :3

I love the Fuschia pencil. Very pretty shade and love that shimmer in there. The peach is too light for me. Raspberry may be a very nice shade.
A lot of Sephora’s lip products have fragrance to them. Did you notice it in these? I like this kind of pencil when I can find the right color.

Fuschia Fever looks so sparkly and fun!
I really love Gorgeous Peach, but I do tend to steer towards more natural lip colours
The coupon code didn’t work~ : (
Hi Suzanne,
Weird it worked for me no problem and that’s the one everyone has been using.
I Love gorgeous peach…such a shame we don’t have Sephora over here.
