Have you seen some of the fabulous holiday makeup collections that Target has to offer? Well I was perusing my local Target recently and saw allll kinds of things I wanted to get my mitts on, so I picked up a few.

One stand-out item is the NP Set Smoke Signals eyeshadow palette. This cute little set has 12 shimmery colors inside that run from dark to light and opaque to sheer.

This is my first experience with a set of NP shadows (though I do have a single one I love) and I was pretty impressed, especially for the price!

First row

Deep, opaque purple with fine gold glitter, dark silver with fine gold glitter, medium cranberry red shimmer, light frosty white with white glitter.

The first three here were very pigmented and felt extremely soft and nice. The white one was also pretty nice, but maybe not quite as opaque. I absolutely love the first one and third ones here!

Second row

Dark forest green with fine gold glitter, pale lavender shimmer, light taupe with fine orange glitter, pale champagne shimmer.

For some reason this row wasn’t as pigmented as the first one. The green was a bit patchy and the other three are more on the light/sheer side. All felt very soft and nice though.

Third row

Dark charcoal grey with fine gold glitter, medium purple with pink glitter, dark warm chocolate brown with fine orange glitter, medium peach shimmer.

This row was back to being nice and pigmented, like the first. All four of these colors were fabulous, but I especially like the first and third.

This dark chocolate brown one is what I was wearing on the outer corner of my eye the other day in my NARS Etrusque post. They work together really nicely!

Overall:

Color me impressed with this palette. While some of the colors didn’t give me the payoff I hoped for, the majority did and they all had a great texture. They feel like expensive good quality shadows. I recommend this palette not only because the nice colors but also 12 eyeshadows for 10 bucks is pretty darn good!

Have you tried any of the holiday stuff for Target yet?
