Are you a sucker for antique gold? Do you love colors that just shimmer and glow? Do you love when a product looks as good on the skin as it does in the packaging? Ladies & gentlemen I give you NARS Etrusque.

This is a new single eyeshadow from NARS for holiday 2010, and the color is beyond what I had hoped for. In fact I have worn this color more times in a 2 week period than perhaps any other eyeshadow in years!

This eyeshadow is a beautiful antique gold with a gorgeous metallic sheen. The gold is definitely warm, but not too yellow or orange so it works very nicely with my fair skin (with yellow undertones).

It’s incredibly soft and applies like a dream. The color payoff is totally amazing also, just a dip in the pan and you get massive color with not much fallout.

I have been pairing this on it’s own with MAC Vanilla and also with a deep brown from a yet to be reviewed eyeshadow palette.  It would also work amazing with the Urban Decay Naked palette.

Impromptu iPhone 4 pic of me wearing Etrusque on inner 3/4 of lid. 🙂

This is one of the best eyeshadows I have seen in a very long time. The consistency and pigmentation is amazing, and the color is perfect. The only caveat is the price, which is on the high side. I don’t buy NARS single shadows often (in fact this is my first) because of the price, but this for me was worth every penny.

How are we feeling about this color? Are you into antique gold eyeshadows?
