Dashing Diva Nail Color Fall 2010 Swatches & Review – Part I

It may seem strange to still be posting collections for fall 2010 since it seems like winter is so close, but it is still fall for 3+ more weeks!

Dashing Diva has released a new collection for fall of 10 new colors and I’ve got all but one to show you.

I don’t think Dashing Diva gets enough credit for their great colors. It seems like they are a pretty small company and people don’t hear about them often. They are harder to find also, unless you order online. But they do have a really great polish formula and some really spectacular colors.

This is part I of a two part series.

Dashing Diva Greenport Grunge Dashing Diva Nail Color Fall 2010 Swatches & Review Part I
Greenport Grunge

Greenport Grunge is a metallic moss green with yellow, orange and pink shimmer. This is a glowy type of color and it’s absolutely gorgeous! Love the murkiness of the green. It was a little sheer, so I used three coats. It is very similar to OPI At Your Quebec And Call, so if you don’t have that one, you might want to snag this baby!

Dashing Diva Kiss n Teal Dashing Diva Nail Color Fall 2010 Swatches & Review Part I
Kiss-n-Teal

Kiss-n-Teal is a medium blue shimmery teal. It looked like a teal/purple duochrome in the bottle, but there is no duochrome effect on the nail. I love this blue, it’s not that common and it reminds me of the sea. This was three coats.

Dashing Diva Remember My Name Dashing Diva Nail Color Fall 2010 Swatches & Review Part I
Remember My Name

Remember My Name is an opaque black with multi-colored shimmer. This was really opaque, almost one coat would do the trick, but I used two. I totally love this, am getting back into interesting black shades lately. This was like butter. icon smile Dashing Diva Nail Color Fall 2010 Swatches & Review Part I

Dashing Diva Ur Standing On My Dress Dashing Diva Nail Color Fall 2010 Swatches & Review Part I
Ur Standing On My Dress

Ur Standing On My Dress is a bright blurple with heavy pink and blue shimmer. In some lighting it’s deep blue, in some it’s purple. It’s a gorgeous color, if not all that unique anymore. Great formula on this one also, perfect in two coats.

Dashing Diva Penthouse Views Dashing Diva Nail Color Fall 2010 Swatches & Review Part I
Penthouse Views

Penthouse Views is a metallic silver/grey with silver shimmer. I like it, but don’t love it. The formula was a little bit streaky, but not much. I just don’t think it’s anything to write home about, but is pretty. This was two coats.

Overall:

Of these five colors I think the most unique ones are Greenport Grunge and Kiss-n-Teal. I also love Remember My Name and Ur Standing On My Dress. Maybe skip that one and Penthouse Views if you have similar ones though.

Stay tuned for Part II soon!

You can find Dashing Diva on their website here and they retail for $8.00 each.

What do you guys think about these colors? Have you tried Dashing Diva yet?

  • Dashing Diva is one of the most underrated brands, IMO. I wish they were more widely available.

These colors are gorgeous. I don’t own a single bottle of Dashing Diva and may *have* to check them out. I’m especially loving Greenport Grunge and Ur Standing…
    Great swatches!

  • Greenport Grunge is kind of cool but the others don’t thrill me.

    • Hi Naomi,

Yeah I think a lot of people who already have a ton of nail polish will find dupes for a lot of these, though they are pretty.

      November 30, 2010
  • They all look great but Ur Standing On My Dress is the best to me :-)

I love the fire in these colours, the green is heavenly. I love ‘fugly’ colours and that green fits the bill ….*wanders off to Ebay US* ….

    • Hi Allie,

Good luck finding them on eBay!

  • Grunge is very good. Never even heard of this brand before. And you are so right about Remember My Name. It is interesting.

    • Hi Jenni,

They have some good stuff, I have reviewed them numerous times, check them out!

I really like all five of these. I’ve never heard of this brand before. I’m definitely going to get Ur Standing On My Dress (can’t resist blurples) and Remember My Name.

  • Greenport Grunge looks like China Glaze’s Peace On Earth in your pic. If it’s close I might have to get it, cuz Peace On Earth gave me a lot of chipping and peeling problems, but I love the color.

Wow, I love every single one of these colors. I had never even heard of “Dashing Diva” before. I’m now probably going to spend a few hours on their website! Do you know offhand if they offer free shipping at a certain amount?

  • Can you think of a dupe for Remember My Name

    November 30, 2010
  • Darn, no Dashing Diva on Ebay, looks like I’m ordering from their site!

I’m a sucker for blurples and teals, so I love Kiss-and-Teal and Ur Standing On My Dress (I just cringed a little while typing “ur”). I also think Remember My Name is great, even though it’s not a color I’d usually go for.

  • Greenport Grunge, I must get it!! Gorgeous! Maybe Kiss-n-Teal too. Just have to figure it out, how to get them. :)

I know this has nothing to do with the nail colours but something you wrote intrigued me! When do people in the US see fall (autumn for me in Ireland) as starting and ending? I see it as starting in August and ending at halloween, I think thats a Celtic thing. So to me, November, December and January are all winter – which makes it seem mad for you to be saying its still autumn/fall now! I’m like…. “nooooo it isn’t!” :)

    November 30, 2010
    • Hi Aoife,

Because technically that is how the seasons work. Fall starts around the 22nd of September and goes through the 22nd of December. Winter starts end of Dec and goes until end of March, etc. It might seem like winter because of the weather but it’s not. :)
