From The Archives: Nubar Raspberry Truffle
Happy Black Friday! I don’t know about you, but I think those people who get up to go shopping at 4:00 am are out of their minds! There is simply no deal that great for me to get up that early, besides most of those deals will be the same online on Cyber Monday anyway. 
Anyway, as I was looking through my brown nail colors I came across this beauty that I had kind of forgotten about. Nubar Raspberry Truffle. This was one of my favs from their Chocolate Truffles collection.
Raspberry Truffle is a really pretty deep chocolate brown with raspberry colored shimmer. It’s similar to another color in that collection called Coffee Bean, but a darker brown with slightly different shimmer. Both are beautiful.
What I love about it is the combination is fairly unexpected and also it kind of gives off a nice glow.
The formula on it is also really great, I believe this was just two coats and most Nubar polishes apply like butter!
I think this color as well as the entire Chocolate Truffles collection actually is perfect for fall and the holidays. I find myself gravitating towards browns, golds, reds and greens during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, so I tend to wear those colors more often than other times of the year.

Is it true that this and OPI’s Tease-y Does It are dupes?

I would say they are similar but not dupes.
Which do you prefer? I already have Chocolate Truffles, but I feel like I need the OPI as well lol. Is it a big enough difference that a nail fanatic would need them both? Hell, I’ll just but Tease-y Does It too -_- Never a moments rest for the credit card of a lacquer head *sigh.
Well I love these kinds of colors so I would want them both. But between the two I think maybe TDI is a smidge more shimmery and better in my opinion.
Hmmm delishhh! I crave the dark colors especially in the winter!

I have this and haven’t worn it yet. I have worn chocolate coffee bean and love it. The shimmer in this one is larger in the bottle, and I think the effect on the nails will be different. Hope you are having a good day!
This is one I always have an inner debate about. I can’t decide whether I need to have it or not *sigh* . Thanks for reposting it, it is such a pretty color!

I don’t do the Black Friday thing either. Kohl’s said it was opening at 3 AM. Well, hell, I’d have to get up at least by 2. So no wonder these shoppers get cranky and crazy; they’re working on very little sleep!
I don’t have any Nubar polishes; isn’t that sacrilege? There is no doubt that will change next year. You are doing the ‘vamp’ in ‘VV.’
Those women (and I’m sure a few men) are crazy for getting up so early! My mom never did, so I never have. I can barely wake up in the late morning!
Anyway, I loved this whole collection, but I can’t decide whether I should get this one since it’s supposed to be a dupe to OPI TDI.
That is definitely beautiful! I’m kinda sorry now that I passed on it when I still had access to Nubar.

Raspberry Truffle is a really pretty color. I never decided wether to buy it or not. For now I have Swiss Chocolate from the same collection.
Love this polish. It’s my favorite from the Chocolate Truffle Collection. I ordered the whole collection. I love all of those polishes. They’re all yummy!

I’ve heard that they’re dupes, and the swatches I’ve seen on the web would suggest this, too. But I only actually own the Nubar one, so I can’t compare firsthand. Nubar has awesome nail polish formulas!

Maybe I had a rogue bottle but the shimmer just didn’t work on me. Sad because it looks fabulous on EVERYBODY ELSE!
