China Glaze ‘Tis the Season To Be Naughty and Nice Collection Holiday 2010 Swatches & Review – Part II
Here is China Glaze ‘Tis the Season To Be Naughty and Nice holiday collection part II. This is going to be short on words and “fancy” pics, because I’m just not feeling wordy, and besides, you’re here to see the swatches anyway right? 
The ones in this post are the remaining 10 of the 16 piece collection. I reviewed the others here.
Snow
Snow is a stark yet creamy looking white creme. As with most whites it went on really streaky but after three coats it looked pretty even and nice. Nothing groundbreaking here, but it’s a nice white. This was three coats.
Midnight Kisses
Midnight Kisses is a cool shimmery gold foil. It’s just lovely. I totally dig both foil’s AND cool colored golds, and this is perfection with nary a streak in sight. This was two coats.
Cheers To You
Cheers To You is a silver foil. This is nice, but I feel as though I have this already a few times over. It wasn’t streaky or anything and opaque in two coats.
Ruby Deer
Ruby Deer is a bright, true red creme. It’s super shiny also and applied like butter. It is just a red creme though…This was two coats.
Jingle Bells
Jingle Bells is a bronze/gold metallic/foil. I say that because this looked a little less foil-y on the nail than Midnight Kisses and Cheers To You. It’s an unexpected win for me. I didn’t think I would care for it but I really do! This was two coats.
Little Drummer Boy
Little Drummer Boy is a deep blue with light blue shimmer. This is very dark and has that blackened effect around the edges. I think it’s pretty, but I’m not madly in love with it. It did apply really nicely and was totally opaque in two coats.
Phat Santa
Phat Santa is a deep red creme. Despite the pictures this is different from Ruby Deer. It’s darker and cooler. This one also applied like butter and was really shiny. This was two coats.
Mrs. Claus
Mrs. Claus is a red glitter. The base is a light, sheer red and it’s packed with small red glitter pieces. Hmm I’m not sure I like this one on it’s own without another color under it because it is on the sheer side. I think it would rock over another red though. It dries to a really dull finish for some reason, but most people would put on a top coat anyway, so no biggie. This was three coats.
Mommy Kissing Santa
Mommy Kissing Santa is a deep red shimmer. Yep it’s lit-from-within, glowy and shiny. It’s like Jolly Holly’s green cousin This applied great and was two coats.
Naughty and Nice
Naughty and Nice is a very dark purple creme. This is super dark and will look black indoors. I am always on the fence about these colors because they never apply evenly and I always have bald patches and pooling issues. It’s very shiny and you will definitely need three coats for total coverage.
Overall:
Judging the entire collection, all 16 pieces, I think it’s pretty outstanding. It’s huge, but that just means more colors to choose from. For me the must haves here are Midnight Kisses, Jingle Bells and Mommy Kissing Santa. Nice to haves would be Little Drummer Boy and Mrs. Claus. The ones that I think most people might already have are Snow, Ruby Deer, Phat Santa, Cheers to You and Naughty and Nice.
I do like the ones I first reviewed the most. I think the must haves from the whole collection are: Party Hearty, Peace on Earth, Jolly Holly, Midnight Kisses, Jingle Bells and Mommy Kissing Santa. If you REALLY love glitters then add Mistletoe Kisses and Mrs. Claus. Also Frost is kinda amazing. Ack, so many here that rock!

I am meh about Ruby Deer and Phat Santa. I do love Naughty and Nice and Mommy Kissing Santa. I might go ahead and pick up Cheers to you; I do feel like its been done before but it is very Christmasy looking and I dont have any silver foils at the moment…

Phat Santa, Ruby Deer & Little Drummer Boy are on their way to me. Compared to the first part you swatched, I liked that one more than this. Probably because I’m a fan of greens.

I love Jolly Holly, Mommy Kissing Santa and Little Drummer Boy. I think I’ll also check out Midnight Kisses because it looks a LOT like the New Orleans Saints’ gold, and that would be great for game days and their next Super Bowl.

I’m really digging the foils: “Midnight Kisses” and “Cheers To You.” “Mommy Kissing Santa” is such a great cranberry shade for Thanksgiving! This is a winning collection, with the exception of “Mrs. Claus,” which I don’t understand. Layered? Maybe. Might be cool as tips over the white? Not my thing, but just trying to find a use for that polish?!!
The Nailphile layered Party Hearty over Mrs. Claus today, and it looks pretty good if you like glitter.
Just checked that combo out on the Nailphile. Not sure it’s for me, but definitely for glitter fans. Like Christmas lights on steroids or something!

A lot of people think “Sanguine” is a dupe for OPI’s “Royal Rajah Ruby,” which is still available (I think) on Transdesign.
Nothing really new but they’re still so pretty. Love the folis. All those beautiful shades look wonderful for the holidays. Reds and vampy colors are delightful.
what were the yellow-ish patches on you index and middle finger in the picture for Naughty and Nice??

I’m seriously loving the entire collection. I’m going to buy all of them. I’m a sucker for Christmas collections anyway, lol.
