Vampy Varnish Fav’s Featuring: Brown
Only a few of the “color” top 5-10 posts left until I can move onto top fav finishes (or whatever I decided to do next). I am kind of shocked that it’s taken me 10 months to get through all these! I need to speed it up.
Today I’ve got one of my favorite nail polish colors, brown. I know a lot of people say they don’t like brown polish, but like red, I really do think there is a brown for everyone! I mean how can you discount an entire color that has SO many ranges and depths?
I realized after going through my stash picking them out that all of them are shimmery! Ooops. I do like brown cremes, but none of them made it into my top 10, which is why you won’t see any here.
All of these have been reviewed on VV in the past so I won’t fully review them here.

Jessica Bittersweet
HAWT. This is one of my favorite colors in general in the last 6 months. When I first applied it I was immediately smitten, it’s really unique.
Misa When U Say My Name
Wowwowowowowow. Yeah this is another insane new brown that knocked my socks off!
Nubar Chocolate Caramel
Love this one because it’s really different. It’s got so much gold and yellow in it you almost can’t call it brown, but it came with their brown collection so there you have it. 
Rococo Metal Jacket
Here is another great deep chocolate-y brown with major metallic-ness! Rococo is harder to find, but well worth it!
BB Couture Wirestripper
Wirestripper is kind of a hybrid color. It looks both brown and purple depending on the angle, but it’s not a duochrome. It’s gorgeous in person, not as much in this older picture…
Color Club With Abandon
Another old pic, sorry! With Abandon is like a brown/black with olive green glitter. Gorgeous!
MAC Rich, Dark & Delicious
This is the closest you will see to a creme in this post. This is a super dark, creamy melted chocolate-like color with very subtle shimmer. Love.
Color Club Nothing But Truffle
Wheeeeeee, another FABULOUS new one that I am head over heels for!
And now we get to the two pics I REALLY didn’t want to show because I am horrified at how crappy they are, but they made the list and I haven’t had time to re-swatch, so get your barf bags out…
Zoya Kalista
Despite the horrifying blurriness, bad angle, lighting and just general pukiness here, the color IS amazing. It’s got a lot of red to the base and tons of gold shimmer. This is the first brown I truly fell for.
Barielle Misbehaving Mistress
Puke shot #2. Misbehaving Mistress is a really pretty dark brown with multi-colored shimmer (heavy on the silver).

About half of these are in my top 10 too! However, as far as cremes go, I would add Essie’s Little Brown Dress and Nubar Swiss Chocolate. Two of my go to polishes!

I would say my favorite is Little brown Dress from Essie. Its so gorgeous!
I love the color brown! Especially When U Say My Name and Nothing But Truffle.

I like all of them. I would have a hard time picking just one but Kalista is really pretty.
The only brown I’ve got – and I need to remedy that – is OPI for Sephora’s ‘Brunette on the Internet’. I think I’ve only worn it once!

Brown is up there as one of my favourite colours. I love OPI Espresso Your Style, and Zoya Pasha more than I can ever explain. That Barielle is beautiful!

My favorite brown is Haute Chocolate by Chanel. It’s the one that got me so into polish in the first place! Not sure if they are cruelty-free, though.
I’ve been on the quest for good browns for a while now-especially cremes as you can put all sorts of interesting things on top and get gorgeous results. I really love Mavala’s ‘Dark Brown’(v. fancy name, that
) and Nubar’s Swiss Chocolate.

I really like Misbehaving Mistress and Chocolate Caramel. I may have to search for those.
I used to love Revlon Iced Coffee. Pretty much the only brown I like is Avon Color Trend Chocolate. Both long discontinued..I got them both off of Ebay.
I love your “Top 10″ posts, VV. They are such a great way to get me digging through my stash for old & new favorites. Some of my favorite browns: OPI’s “Holiday Glow” from last year’s holiday collection. Also, $OPI’s “In The Shadows.” I have Essie’s “Little Brown Dress” & can’t wait to try it b/c I’ve loved the swatches on everyone else. I have 3 of your pics (the last three). They are ALL so beautiful, though!

Brown is my absolute fave colour group! I just purchased Bittersweet and I love it. I love Curzon Street from Nails Inc and Sephora Brownie. I still haven’t found my perfect chocolate brown yet, I know it’ll show up one day! Bitterseet is almost perfect but I want one with no shimmer!
Not the biggest fan of browns, but some take my breath away – like Nubar Raspberry Truffle. Also, I like the way OPI Holiday Glow looks in the bottle (but it’s still in my untried pile).

And so funny how Rococo Metal Jacket looks coppery on you, but on my it looks almost pewter. Strange, but it’s still one of my faves!
Wow, I’d love to have that Barielle Misbehaving Mistress. Cool toned browns are hard to come by. I have a few browns and I agree that out of all the ones I own, the ones I love are all shimmery. I love Cover Girl Nailslicks in 301 Chocolate Mint, a red brown base with a green shimmer. Spanish Harlem by Carolyn New York and 455 Chocolate Plum by CQ are great as well.
