Duri Demons From Angels & Demons Fall 2010 Collection Swatches & Review
Duri’s Angels & Demons collection is comprised of two parts. Angels is the more subtle, lighter collection and Demons is darker and sexier. I reviewed Angels here, and today I have Demons to show you.
This collection suits my tastes a lot more than Angels did and it definitely feels like winter.
The formula is really nice with all of these. All with the exception of one are two-coaters. Oh and one is a dupe for another recently released color…
Devil Wears Duri
Devil Wears Duri is a deep blue metallic with light blue shimmer. She’s a beauty, I absolutely love this color and it had barely any brush strokes. This was two coats.
Mystic Elements
Mystic Elements is a deep ruby red with tons of red shimmer. THIS says “Duri” to me, it glows and it’s just stunning. This has definitely made it into my top 10 reds now! This was two coats.
Angels & Demons
Angels & Demons is a dark grey with lots of silver shimmer. I don’t think this totally original, but it’s still really pretty and the formula was really buttery smooth. This was two coats.
From Dusk Till Dawn
From Dusk Till Dawn is a sheer purple/red. This was the only one on the collection I didn’t care for at all. I just cannot get behind sheer colors, I want to keep adding layers and forcing them to be opaque! This was three coats.
Fallen Angel
Fallen Angel is a deep royal purple with red shimmer. Whoooo this is amaaaaazing! At first when I saw it I thought it was just a creme and was none too impressed. Then I saw the shimmer and totally changed my tune. I can’t think of another color that is really close to it either. This was two coats.
Kingdom Of Shadows
Kingdom Of Shadows is a dark purple/brown/red duochrome. And yes, it’s a dupe for Orly Galaxy Girl from the Cosmic FX collection. Here is my original swatch. What can I say it’s a gorgeous color, no question, but I already have it! This was two coats.

So what do you think, can you tell the difference between the two? I sure can’t with the naked eye!
Overall:
I am in love with this collection! All but one are colors I would wear a lot (even though one is a dupe). I think the must haves are definitely Devil Wears Duri, Mystic Elements and Fallen Angel. If you don’t already have colors like Angels & Demons and Kingdom Of Shadows I would snatch those up also. I would pass on From Dusk Till Dawn unless you are a sheer lover.

i nearly just scrolled pass it thinking it was yet another one of those not really purple, not really brown colors, then BAM! the red shimmer shone through & yes, adding to lemming list right now~ ^^
Oooh, I love Fallen Angel! I also really like Kingdom of Shadows…which is great for me because I don’t own Galaxy Girl and KOS is a less expensive alternative. Hooray!

Mystic Elements is my choice out of these – it’s not totally unique and I have a dozen shades like it already, but I know they always look nice and I can usually find some way to justify some tiny minute difference in the end

I love love love Mystic Elements! That’s a seriously awesome colour. Where is Duri sold, do I have any hope of getting hold of it outside the US?

Fallen Angel is definitely a must have! I think I may have to try Duri after all.
But they changed the bottles.
I don’t like companies that change bottles! It’s so hard to organize them in the drawers.

Oooh I like these! I’ve never seen this brand either… I love Mystic Elements but not so keen on Angels & Demons, but have to agree I could and would def wear all of these shades! Also *wow* that is a nice ring

Fallen Angel is my favourite. I don’t know something similar, but I think it’s possible to “build” the shade with other nail polishes… I will try!
