Duri Angels Collection Fall 2010 Swatches & Review

Duri Bottles1 Duri Angels Collection Fall 2010 Swatches & Review

Duri is introducing us to twelve new shades this fall and winter in a two-part collection called Angels & Demons. Angels features lighter, sweeter colors and Demons features mysterious and deeper colors.

First thing I noticed is Duri’s new bottles, they rock! I love the new bottle shape, and especially the logo which is now etched into the glass, rather than printed on. Very classy I think.

The formula is really pretty nice with all of these. I had only minor streaking with one of them and that was really the only issue. Great coverage on all of these, they were all just two coats.

Duri Angelic Dust Duri Angels Collection Fall 2010 Swatches & Review
Angelic Dust

Angelic Dust is a pale taupe with silver shimmer. Although it’s a pretty tame color, I really like it because of all the shimmer. They could have done a standard taupe creme, but adding the shimmer makes it more unique.

Duri Sacred Quest Duri Angels Collection Fall 2010 Swatches & Review
Sacred Quest

Sacred Quest is a shimmery pale copper colored metallic. I have a thing about copper colors, I love them! Generally speaking they look way better with my skin tone than gold does, and this has a cool vibe to it. I did have some small streaking with this being a metallic, but it wasn’t a huge deal.

Duri Path Of Light Duri Angels Collection Fall 2010 Swatches & Review
Path Of Light

Path Of Light is a rose pink with silver shimmer. Very pretty color though it’s not the most interesting of this collection.

Duri Wickedly Devine Duri Angels Collection Fall 2010 Swatches & Review
Wickedly Devine

Wickedly Devine (no they don’t mean Divine) is a bright cherry red with tons of red and gold micro-glitter. This color is really pretty and in the sun it’s amazing. It had almost a jelly-like formula.

Duri Paradise Lost Duri Angels Collection Fall 2010 Swatches & Review
Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost is a deep, rich shimmery red with gold. This is another example of a great Duri “lit from within” color. They do it so well, and this one is just gorgeous!

Duri Seven Heavens Duri Angels Collection Fall 2010 Swatches & Review
Seven Heavens

Seven Heavens is a bright medium mauve creme. It looks pretty purple in the bottle but once it’s in the sun it tends to look more pinkish. It’s pretty but not the best one here.

Overall:

I think this is a nice collection with a couple stand out colors. The ones I think are the most unique are Angelic Dust, Sacred Quest and Paradise Lost. Another great to own one if you don’t have anything like it is Wickedly Devine. I think Path Of Light and Seven Heavens are pretty, but not all that interesting or unique. I cannot wait for Demons because I think the colors are darker and will be more my style! Hopefully I will have that collection to swatch soon.

  • Sacred Quest, Path of Light, and Wickedly Devine are my favs. Angelic Dust almost reminds me of China Glaze Swing Baby (just got it, have yet to try it). Are these LE? I love these colors but need to reign in a bit…maybe in a few months if theyre available.

I love the three bright ones, especially Wickedly Devine! It kind of looks like a glass flecked polish. It’s really pretty.

  • Are these available in stores anywhere? I’m one of “those” who hates to pay for/deal with shipping, and prefer a brick & mortar store. It looks like their website says their products are available in spas, but I couldn’t find a list anywhere…I really love Angelic Dust and Sacred Quest for fall/winter, and Path of Light appeals to me for early Spring. The other three are easier for me to leave behind…But I REALLY love AD and SQ…

Wow, these look way better on the nail than they do in the bottles. In the bottle they looked boring and dated but they actually look really great. I’m impressed!
