OPI Swiss Collection for Fall 2010 Swatches & Review – Part II
What’s up!
Today I’ve got the second half of the OPI Swiss collection for fall 2010. This is made up of 6 creme colors, 4 of which are reds…Having said that I must confess: red looks good on me! As much as I am disinterested in most reds when I first see them, it almost always happens that they wind up complimenting my skin tone. Go figure.
I must say that the first half was much more interesting to me both because the colors were more my type and I favor shimmers. But there were a couple in here I really like also.
The formula on these was great, not a single issue whatsoever. They totally flowed smoothly, nicely, and all were just two coats.

Color So Hot It Berns
Color So Hot It Berns is a bright, cool, poppy red. These kinds of reds always amaze me when I put them on because they look…so…darn…good! But I DO have a bunch like this so it’s nothing I haven’t seen before.

From A to Z-urich
From A to Z-urich is a bright, berry red. Again this looks great on me, but not all that unique.

Just A Little Rosti At This
Just A Little Rosti At This is a deep red with a little brown in it. It’s nice, but… need I say it again?

I’m Suzi & I’m A Chocoholic
I’m Suzi & I’m A Chocoholic is a brick red with lots of brown. It’s ok, but probably my least favorite of the whole twelve-piece collection.

Ski Teal We Drop
Ski Teal We Drop is a medium blue teal. This is one of the ones that I really like. It’s kind of got a ‘smoked out’ thing going on, but very slightly. Very nice.

William Tell Me About OPI
William Tell Me About OPI is a very dark, vampy purple. This wound up being my favorite, surprisingly. It’s just SO dark and shiny and it’s very chic looking. I do have a few like this, but another won’t kill me. Besides, most of the ones I have that are similar are three-coaters and this was just two.
Overall even though I like the shimmery half much better there are a few in here I think are pretty nice. If you like red polish, then this might be the collection for you!
I believe the entire OPI Swiss collection will be available for sale in the beginning of August.
Do you prefer the shimmers or cremes or a combo of both?

Love, thanks! Ski is my fav – how similar are Give Me Moor and Willem Tell?
Hi Amy,
They are pretty similar except that Give Me Moor has subtle shimmer and is more red.
Thanks!!!
I’m such a sucker for blue polish that Ski Teal We Drop is my favorite from this set. But I agree w/ you in terms of liking the shimmers more. I just find them more interesting.

Hi Stephanie,
Yeah shimmery colors always catch my eye first
I’m a sucker gir shimmery colors and dint really like the dullness of those colors! Maybe they just need a top coat . I like the colors but want the shine.
In theory, I prefer cremes, but I have to admit that when I’m wearing a shimmer, I sometimes can’t stop staring at my hands.
I think From A to Z-urich is really pretty. This isn’t my most anticipated collection for fall, but I think I’ll pick up one or two!
I really like Shimmers but only for non red colors. I like red cremes but honestly this collection and many of OPI’s collections have Waaaaaaay to many reds. I wonder if a polish company with a catalog of so many colors, like OPI, can run out of new colors…LOL

Hi Elvira,
I always wonder how it’s even possible to HAVE that many different reds! It’s amazing
I love Ski Teal We Drop! Other than that mehh, I’m just not that interested by most reds..
I love Sky Teal We Drop, that one is definitely on my list of ones to buy!
I usually like to mix it up in a collection and get both cremes and shimmers. But, while I like the cremes in this collection, they seem pretty familiar. With the exception of the teal, I think I’m going to stick to mostly the shimmers in this particular collection. Still, I’m really excited about the shimmers, and I’ll probably be picking up on about half of this collection, so it’s not like I’m not getting plenty!
How close are Ski Teal We Drop and Suzi Says Feng Shui? Both have that muted smokey hue.
Hi Emily,
Suzi Says is much lighter and more of a sky blue. Here’s a link to my pic of it: http://www.vampyvarnish.com/2010/01/12/opi-hong-kong-collection-spring-2010-swatches-review-part/
I love Ski Teal We Drop and William Tell Me About OPI!
These cremes look so good on you! Your swatches are always my favorite. I am so glad the formula was okay with these. All of these colors seem very autumn and appropriate. I wasn’t moved by any of the shimmers, and most of these cremes are familiar to me in my stash. Unless something really “pops” when I see them in person, I will probably skip this whole collection. I just ordered the Zoya “Wonderful” collection, which will satisfy my creme cravings through the fall.
My favorite of this half is William Tell Me About OPI, closely followed by Ski Teal We Drop. I’m with you on reds – they look great on my skin tone, but I feel like there aren’t that many unique ones.

Lemming “Ski Teal we Drop” !
I hate OPI for collections like this. I’ll probably buy Ski Teal We Drop but other than that, the reds are almost the dang same, especially I’m Suzi & I’m A Chocoholic and Just A Little Rosti At This, and they’re very similar to the million other reds they’ve come out with. I have about 6 reds and really, that’s enough for LIFE haha. I do appreciate that these are all cremes, however, because I’ve been on a real creme kick lately and it’s not stopping anytime soon!
The last two I will definitely be buying. The reds really do look lovely on you.
I’m so loving Ski Teal We Drop! How does it compare with Color Club’s Gossip Column though? That one is in my shopping cart at the moment so am wondering whether or not to drop it and to wait for STWD!
I wonder whether Ski teal we drop is somewhat similar to MAC Blue India? On the pics they look kinda similar, arent they?
So pretty, I may have to pick up a few
does “William Tell Me About OPI” look black indoors?? i love the super dark purples but it drives me crazy when u get inside and it looks almost black.
Hi kimberley,
It does look pretty close to black indoors…
